  1. Past hour
  2. Jersey tug gets called all the time. I don't think it was egregious and I wouldn't have had an issue if they picked the flag up but thats a common call and an easy one for the ref to spot.
  3. Beane was high profile when we were 4-0. On WGR, Pat Mcafee, etc. When was the last time you saw Beane on TV? He’s in hiding I believe, after making laughably stupid remarks about Bills WRs and the Rams Front Office. He looked truly beaten, after ***** up trade day
  4. That was annoying. The Maye run wasn’t even close. Clock never should have stopped. They probably saved a few seconds and/or a timeout. I went back and self-timed the Stevenson run at the end of the half. He still probably slides with :02 seconds on the clock but again they might not have a timeout.
  5. And in perfect weather. Stafford’s great but the degree of difficulty is 10x harder for Josh.
  6. I got my yearly raise from the company this week.........4% increase.........last year was 8% The boss made it no big secret 2 weeks ago that he was penny pinching to inflate his yearly bonus UGH
  7. By far my biggest complaint is the lack of play-action especially early in games. We know our WRs suck. We also know our TEs are great, our RBs are receiving threats, and our running game is legit and is the focal point for opposing defenses. We should be leaning on PA early especially on 1st Down and get the balls to the TEs across the middle. This has the added benefit of loosening up the LBs against the run. We came out throwing against Miami and TB, but it was traditional drop back stuff on early downs as opposed to PA. Yesterday was the perfect example but Cooks dropped the ball. Big plays in the passing game have to come on early downs off PA, our receivers aren't good enough to get them in conventional passing downs/routes. Second main complaint is to know you have 17 for important series during the game. It is crazy that at 35-31 yesterday and the D getting a big stop, we went 3 and out with 2 Cook runs and a screen pass to Ty. There is no excuse for not giving Josh a run/pass option on that series and letting him do what he does.
  8. I'm as tired as the screens as you, but on that play he had it schemed up properly. If Palmer holds his block, he probably gets the first (although it would have been close). The defender (Carlton Davis? can't quite recall) made a terrific play.
  9. early career Brady was a game manager on a team with strong D and running game. In that period they were a top 10 rushing team
  10. I still remember when Mac and cheese was regarded as the "baby GOAT" and the next Tom Brady. The media just can't help themselves in hyping up NE........it's a sickness. Maye is good, but he's nowhere near JA good. Maybe in a year or so, this conversation will take a sideways turn if Maye turns out to be the real deal, but as of today, JA and Maye shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence. I have spoken.
  11. I was away from the tv but that is interesting. I did notice that the clock never started when the patriots had the ball on their last drive. I believe it was the third down play. The refs tried to figure it out at least. So it happened both times the patriots had it under 2 minutes to go. lol. ***** Boston.
  12. Years ago when I worked in a K12, the facilities manager / head custodian was a Pats fan because his neighbor growing up ended up on the Pats in the 80s (this was in Hawaii, so there's no real "default" team everyone roots for). Every Monday was just each of us throwing jabs at eachother's teams for at least 20 minutes. It was fun. He's the only Pats fan I met that wasn't entirely insufferable.
  13. Ray has done a great job. Offensive touches are going to continue to be tough to come by though. Ty is a better receiver and Cook is a top 5 RB. Ray is a lesser version of both of them but a solid 3, especially if he can keep it up on the returns.
  14. Just look at the names on those Raiders and Titans depth charts though.... sheeesh. I think you can argue Palmer would be the #1 on those teams. But the Bills receivers are terrible. A has been (Cooks), a complimentary slot receiver (Shakir), a career #4 (Palmer), a draft bust (Coleman) and a player cut by Jacksonville (Gabe).
  15. Could you imagine Allen with Nacua and Adams?
  16. IMO, Davis has earned more touches. He has looked explosive. I am guessing Brady reads this board and has stolen my ideas, because I was calling for using Ty and Cook in the backfield together for many weeks (after seeing what Atlanta did). So, maybe he will steal this idea too, and figure out a way to get all three RBs out there at the same time!!
  17. I was there and I don’t wish that game on any living soul
  18. Agree. If the Pats beat Baltimore but lose to Miami and we win out we win the division. If they lose to Baltimore and beat Miami we don't. If we win out and the Pats do drop a divisional game (let's say week 18 to Miami) then we almost certainly slot in as the #2 seed. I'd much rather they beat Baltimore personally so that our choices week 18 are: - win the division and be the #2 seed hosting the Chargers and then probably the Texans in the divisional round with the AFCCG @ Denver; or - #5 seed going to the Steelers; then probably to Denver then possibly to the Texans. I'm not sure I have a preference between those two options. Neither is easy. But we have a Quarterback advantage in every one of those matchups.
  19. I think, as a RB, getting a head of steam and taking these right up the gut has been a huge reason that he's successful. He's not looking for a lane to the outside, he's hitting people head on and popping out the other side. I also think the confidence that he's gotten from this role has helped him when he does get carries. He looks more decisive and quicker... unless he was nursing an injury to start the season.
  20. This is where I disagree, as I think the Bills have talent. They are just not noted as yet. Joey Bosa is an elite pass rusher. They have elite tight ends in Knox, Kincaid. They proved last season that they don't need that prototypical elite WR, as they led the league in scoring. I also believe that they have elite DBs in Cole Bishop, Max Hairston, along with Christian Benford, as the former's just haven't proven themselves just yet. Benford is elite already. This team has talent, it's just not the spectacular type that we see in other teams. It's more of the blue-collar types we used to see in the Bill Parcells teams. So many Bills fans think Keon Coleman is a bust because he hasn't exploded with a bunch of yards and TDs, yet he blocks his butt off for the run game. Did anyone else notice the great block he threw to help Josh Allen on a run scramble? TE Jackson Hawes might be the best young blocking TE in the game right now. There is a reason why Buffalo is so good in the run game, and it has to do with the supposed non-elite players on the offensive line, WRs, and TEs that allow James Cook to cook. (Dion Dawkins is elite) Ray Davis averaged 40+ yards a kick return in the last game. Unsung heroes that might not get noticed by the world unless the Bills can get to an SB. I see them! Just my 2 cents.
  21. Yeah I'm probably being a little butt hurt about Hollins. I just feel like he could recognize how much his stock grew during his year with us and dial it back. But he is who he is and that's what makes him an awesome dude. Diggs, to your point, proved once again why he's unreliable as someone you can count on. Great player, but he thrusts himself into leadership roles and just doesnt get it.
  22. Are you claiming the refs knew in advance that the timekeeper wouldn't start the clock at :06 and therefore kept time on the field? Because that sounds like nonsense.
