  1. Past hour
  2. Time is a flat circle. I guess we have to re-learn the whole "gambling is bad" thing. It infects everything. I am this close to not watching football anymore. The league is in bed with Vegas. Didn't watch anything last weekend when Bills were on the bye. It's only a step above wrestling at this point.
  3. Multiple arrests today. Maybe they arent done...
  4. There is nothing good about 4-3. Nobody will be enjoying this season with lowered standards. Terry will probably do nothing if the season ends with another disappointment, but he really should think about cleaning house and bringing in a new FO.
  5. Don't forget Justin Jefferson. He can help too.
  6. I’m afraid this is just what McD’s teams look like. There are no magical adjustments coming.
  7. Uh, yes. This year the #1 seed was well within reach. Easy schedule, weak conference, Lamar and Burrow both injured, KC starting 2-3. You couldn't possibly draw it up better than that. Even ending up the #2 seed would have been considered a failure given all those advantages. Falling out of the top 4 seeds entirely would have been unthinkable two months ago, even the biggest pessimists on here didn't predict that. It's not about the Patriots improving, which obviously was out of our control. Losing winnable games because of coaching errors and glaring roster deficiencies, that is the unforgivable failure. There's still time to make it happen but the margin for error is already gone.
  8. Oh I dont disagree, just taking the chance to knock the Jets and the fact they may be just dumb enough to do it.
  9. Well, the news of the day is obviously the gambling scandal rocking the NBA. I’m sure that we will see more and more of this as we move forward but this one is obviously HUGE. I just saw that Billups arrest is tied to a poker operation run by the mob. It’s bad when “poker operation run by the mafia” is a better outcome than “HOF player, now coach, arrested for gambling scandal tied to NBA games.” Imagine how much he could impact props?!? Lol, that just feels too convienent. I may have been born in the morning but it’s not this morning.
  10. I think this stage of grief is called “bargaining”.
  11. Christian Watson. Blazing speed with size. Will take the top off the D and open up space for Shakir and Kinkaid. Greenbay may be willing to trade. Question is can the bills affo extention similar to Shakir. Or can the Bills afford to Franchise him next yr. Defensively Dane Belton. Look what he is doing for the Giants. Always around the Ball. Big time tackler, ball hawk, high energy player. Also brings a ton to the special teams.
  12. Ive run out of patience and want McD gone if the Bills continue to flounder playing the easiest schedule they have had under McD. Carolina will be a good test. I’m afraid the tough games at home will be blow outs. The Bills look broken.
  13. Wilson is in his prime and an elite level receiver. Flacco is nearing the end of his career. I don't know if there has ever been a trade within the division for a player as good as Wilson is. The Jets would ask for a lot as the Bills would have to pay more than say an NFC team or an AFC team outside the division.
  14. Having a major health scare like a stroke resets your vision. After one you realize that there is no need to get upset about anything. The only thing that matters is your and your family's health and well being. Laying in bed after my 2014 stroke, I was wondering if I would be like that the rest of my life. A calmness came over me. It was reinforced by my Feb 2024 kidney transplant.
  15. On seeing highlights, Detroit's second goal where they tied at the end of the 2nd period... the scorer had set up camp in front of the crease. Power just stood like 3 feet to the left of the goalie. Just stood there and watched it happen. So aggravating. There's nothing going through his head saying 'Do something about this'?!?!!!
  16. We did. Got back last week. Venice through to Amalfie Coast. Eighteen days on our own, no tour group, booked our own side trips in very small groups, a few one-on-one types. Easy to get around Italy by trains and buses. Would like to go back to Southern Italy.
  17. You'd think so, but the Browns just traded Flacco in the division and the Jets arent much better managed than the Browns so...
  18. Is it really? I knew my knee was in need of surgery after one visit. X-ray or MRI and boom there it is!! Surgery.
  19. There are 3 silver linings of a bills loss to the panthers this week 1. We can all lower our superbowl expectations and enjoy a season with lowered standards 2. the bills will see their flaws and what they need to improve before the trade deadline and offseason 3. They will be 4-3 going into the chiefs game and play with a sense of urgency like never before
  20. Jermaine Johnson II
  21. The east wing was built in the 40's by FDR.Such a "long" history. If they wanted bigger events than could fit in the State Dining Room (which is pretty small-I saw it on the tour) they would have it in tents outside which would be subject to the wind, weather, and temperature. The grassy area they had it on would turn swampy after rains, Remember DC was real swamps before the Revolution, not named after the vermin that inhabit it now.
  22. I think that and his early foot injury robbed him (as think in retrospect he forced himself to return too soon to prove his worth) of long term success. Sad really as he was a really talented guy. Yet as we've seen time and time again it's not just the physicals that matter in the NFL.
  23. Electrical bills and higher food prices have been around since Covid lol. Leverage!
