  1. Past hour
  2. What is his mom wearing right now? Asking for a friend
  3. They had some good players on offense too - Rueben Brown, Lee Evans, TO, Stevie Johnson jsut to name a few. Don't forget Spikes, Winfield, and Sam Adams jsut to add a few more names on defense. Don't make it too hard. They didn't have a QB and now we do. It's really just that simple. It's is almost impossible to win without an elite QB. A few teams have done it like the Ravens and Bears but they had arguably two of the top 3 defenses of all time. It is to the point it's really not a team game. It is really 1 + 52, and without the 1 there is almost no hope.
  4. On a related note, the approach to Detroit is named JHOFFA
  5. Everybody sees it now. He’s weak, and stubborn. He will continue to fail in January
  6. This is so true. He had size, speed, and power, but he literally had no idea where to run. I also swear he had exercise induced asthma or some cardiac issues as well. Never saw a NFL RB breathing so heavily after a 10 yard run.
  7. Lynch never turned into the badass OBD made him out to be. As a result we gave him away for a song. Same story with Jason Peters. That said, the decade of fail was not all bad. I maintain that our defenses were better then than they are now. Jabari Greer, Kyle Williams, Aaron Schobel, Jerry Hughes, Stefon Gilmore and Lorenzo Alexander were great football players. Looking back it seems like we were a farm team for the big markets
  8. With all due respect OP, I think you are grossly underestimating the effect Allen has had on this franchise. If Cleveland or the Jets take Allen, then McD and Beane are out of a job several years ago. They did everything to position themselves to get a QB and with Darnold or the wrong Josh both of these fine men would have been given the boot a long time ago.
  9. Welp, I guess he never got $15M per season. Shocker
  10. I recall reading about the Spiller pick at the time that Ralph liked him. He was thought to be an exciting back who would put butts in the stadium seats.
  11. Feels slightly rich for a RB that only plays 50% of the snaps, but maybe they will work on his pass blocking.
  12. Nobody outside of Ukraine and Russia actually cares about the killing there. Not Biden, not Trump, certainly not all the bleeding hearts that have popped up since election time. But it has been fun watching all the holier-than-thous harp about stopping the senseless slaughter...when they remember to care about it on the internet.
  13. Bosa looked awesome on Saturday. That should help everybody on the D Line. If he stays healthy, we haven’t had a dude like that since Mario or maybe the 11 games before Von tore his ACL
  14. I like his potential for the reasons you stated. It's nice to have a big-body receiver, especially one with a basketball pedigree that can leap. We need to be throwing him a couple of long jump balls every game. Worst-case scenario we have a few picks that are effectively arm-punts.
  15. I used follow Yeah, that's true But my following days are over Now I just gotta follow through And I remember what my father said He said "Son, life is simple It's either cherry red or Midnight blue, oh Midnight blue (oh) oh"
  16. Nothing real special, If I remember correctly the RNAV 23 has a few: BUFST, FOTBL, WNNGS, EFFCT,BUULS and BILLZ. ILS 32 IAF is ELMMA and glideslope intercept is DEPEW.
  17. It’s not just Harvard. Everything, every business or other entity in Trumps crosshairs feel compelled to fork over extortion money in exchange for them being allowed to exist, or Trump will attack them with the power of the Federal government. Nvidia now has to pay 15% of their revenue from chip sales to China to the government. (Im not sure they should even be selling chips to China, but I guess Trump is fine with that, as long as he gets his cut). Tim Cook has to deliver a gold bar to Trump, foreign nations have to give him a jet airplane. Law firms are forced to donate their services to Trumps causes. On and on… Whatever happened to Republicans wanting government out of society? I thought you all hated how the Dems made big government requiring masks, vaxes CAFE standards, etc. Trump is the most progressive, activist President we have ever seen. He wants to manipulate and control every facet of American society Republicans disagree with. He declares all these fake emergencies to justify his actions. Why has he gone after the big law firms? It’s because they are the ones who bring lawsuits against the government for unconstitutional actions. When has a Dem president ever used the power of the government to neuter powerful law firms? Trump is trying every possible action, constitutional or unconstitutional, that he can to expand his power. Presidential norms are out the window. Every President following him, on either side of the isle, will feel free to do likewise. The question is: Is that the kind of government we want? Regarding DC: Since when have Republicans cared about the lives of city residents? This is much more about Trump trying to change the story from Epstein and make himself look powerful to his base. Every other President has been extremely reluctant to deploy troops in law enforcement capacity. There is a reason for that. Now Trump declares fake emergencies to normalize their presence on the streets. I hope it goes well but there is reason for concern. Trump is now seeking to create a quick reaction force of troops to deploy on civillian protesters. I don’t like the direction this is all going. Our nation has done just fine, through much more turbulent times, without regularly deploying the military on our soil. My concern is that in an heated protest, young military troops not trained to deal with such events, will take violent action against our citizens. That would be a tragedy for both sides. I hope I’m wrong.
  18. I think this narrative is just so overblown. Despite being on the field 45% of the snaps he still nearly doubled Ray Davis' rush attempts and quintupled Ty Johnson's. He had almost as many receptions as Davis and Johnson combined. People act like he was just a cog in a rotation. When in fact he was by far our most consistently explosive skill player and made a big difference when he was on the field. Personally I'm glad they're limiting his snaps. Keep his mileage low so he can continue making game changing plays for the next four seasons.
  19. Yeah, and we did it through the 80s too with Booker Moore, Greg Bell, and Ronnie Harmon.
  20. I'm not panicking. I don't expect Rookies to be finished products in Year 1. Things happen with injuries and slow development. But that's the point. With our cap situation with so much delegated to retaining so many guys (who should or should not be retained, depending on the situation) in the window we're in, we rely on these guys in Year 1 to be big time difference makers to take us over the top. Bc we can't afford to get known commodities. Guys like Coleman, Bishop, and Carter are crucified for not being ready quick enough bc we're *relying* on them. When a little more fiscal spending on the number of people we retain could get us players who we KNOW will be an impact instead of not being able to afford to sign or trade for them - as we have for the past couple years.
  21. Marshawn was definitely on his way out. McD would’ve dumped him even sooner. The problem was taking Spiller when they had Jackson on the roster. Just grab a complimentary back on the second or third day and use the #9 overall on something important. Crazy drafting.
  22. This is why I tell anyone who screams for Beane and McDermott to be fired, we could easily be right back in the mess that preceeded them. I get they haven't won a Super Bowl. I understand where their critics are coming from but I would much rather have the competence we have had for nearly the last decade even if we never win one than go back to the nearly 2 decades before it.
  23. Stop absolving the company that made cars you can steal with a goddamn USB drive lmao
  24. There are plenty of other threads to bash McDermott and Beane's actions. This is a thread about Cook re-signing with the Bills and posters to express their opinion about the deal. Making a passing comment about a related subject (such as weapons on offense besides Cook) is fine but you are going on and on about such topics. It is called hijacking a thread. Also, your posting language needs to be toned down. This board has been here a long time due to decorum, very reasonable rules and highly knowledgeable posters. Consider this a friendly suggestion to tone it down before the mods start saying the above in a far less polite way.
