  1. Past hour
  2. Do you believe Coach Tim is a “little unfairly maligned” too?
  3. Jets are just plain weird. I mean, I got the Rodgers thing. They thought they could win right away with him, and that wasn't ridiculous given the talent the team had and the atrocious quarterbacking they'd had the last few years. He just needed to be decent, like he suddenly is this year. And healthy. But the move to Fields this year was obviously one that could blow up. If they got lucky, he'd be like he was at the start of last year for the Steelers. If they got it wrong, he'd be like the guy who was run out of Chicago. And if wrong, there was no salvaging the season. Tyrod as a backup is the "salvage the season if your (good) starter is out a few games" guy. So now they have no young backup to hand the keys to, hoping that maybe they'll find a Brock Purdy. They have Tyrod, who is likely (if healthy) to steal a few wins, which of course is the worst thing they could do right now. Their practice squad QB is some kind named Brady (good start) Cook. Hand it over to him and take your 1-16 and the first overall pick.
  4. Putin is proud of his paid assets
  5. And ravens have only met chiefs once in postseason iirc
  6. They gave Fields 30 million GTD and he starts 6 games for them. Their owner then publicly states that Fields "Can't complete a pass". Good luck getting the team to rally behind Fields should Taylor get hurt. The Jets are a trainwreck right now. Ownership on down looks clueless and incompetent right now
  7. Well thats exactly it. In the OP's chart, our record (and Ravens) are far and away above that of anyone else. Both teams have run into the Chiefs dynasty. Kinda why guys like Malone, Barkley, Ewing etc. retired ringless in the NBA from the 90s..their primes were at the same time as Jordan's or Hakeem's. Hats off to KC. To be the man, gotta beat the man. And its that time IMHO... There is also the fact that McD is not perfect, there are a handful of coaches who I believe are better. But....if you make that kinda change, you better be right. Cause then you really blow Allen's prime if you are wrong. Only coach in the last 5 years I would have made the move for would have been Vrabel. Just my $0.02.
  8. Because Coach Tim was a little simple. Like Quayle.
  9. According to whom? Not saying that's incorrect. But there really hasn't been anything said about him since he signed almost 2 months ago.
  10. You are correct, but sure would like to see a lot more, especially to Cook. We seem to have no answer to blitz packages and taking advantage of vacated areas.
  11. They should just make this format the Pro Bowl....
  12. Oh man...It's Eichel's doctor isn't it?
  13. An update from Carolina practice... Bryce Young did resistance training on the side and threw some... He looked to be moving OK. He did not practice with the team today. Still a longshot but he's definitely not 100% out for Sunday... I know some Panthers fans think he's going to play...
  14. McDermott is done! I’m so tired of hoping. Why as Bills fans do we even consider ever winning a superbowl? It’s not going to happen with McDermott. Felt this way 4-5 years ago and here we are wondering who this team is. They’ve beat nobody and played 6 terrible teams this year, squeaked out 4 wins against terrible teams and basically been dominated by 2 mid teams. Buffalo in Carolina at this point is a toss up. Wait until KC beats us by 20
  15. Yes, but that's only because Marvin Lewis managed to break Carson Palmer so he had to start his streak all over again with a brand spankin' new QB in Andy Dalton. Way to go, Marvin, on your record setting back-to-back suckage!!
  16. The identity thing is so overrated. It's just something sports media personalities like to say when they are too lazy to figure out why a team is struggling. Oh they just don't have an identity. They need to find their identity. I've never played sports or been in a locker room where the players sat around trying to figure out their identity. The Bills are losing because they have too many players that are either struggling, or aren't good in the first place. That results in WRs not getting open, O-Line missing blocks, D-Line not getting a pass rush or getting blown off the ball in the run game, missed tackles from all levels, DBs blowing coverage and failing to make pass breakups, etc., etc. The coaching staff is not doing them any favors with their gameplans or playcalling either.
  17. I never said they're doing the rebuild right, just that they knew they had a long leash and could try with a young veteran over an old one & if he failed, they could plan on drafting their next QB. I called them idiots in a prior post because they tied themselves to Fields for 2 years due to the contract structure & cap hits. They should have been able to get Fields on a 1-year deal with incentives-I doubt there was a lot of competition to be his 3rd team in 3 years after his market value when he was traded to Pittsburgh was a 6th round pick. Personally, I hope they mess it up again & draft another Zach Wilson, but until a team has their guy right at QB, they're always in a rebuild to some extent. Guys on the 1st year of a team that won 5 games the season before they arrived don't want a guy on his last legs, delaying the inevitable. For the Jets to acquire 37-year-old Cousins at 0-7 with his contract, would be a fireable offense even worse than the fact that Field will count at least $22 million on the cap next year.
  18. I can't take the Jets seriously. They are on perpetual rebuild until they get lucky. They throw so much at the wall to get it to stick the building probably reeks of failure. I have been and continue to write them off to the point when they get good I will be surprised because I believe in nothing they do. They drafted QBs they couldn't develop. They cant work with rentals. They wasting some talent as well on both sides. Its to a point if a guy like Justin Fields could mature and become better being on the Jets actually hurts that cause. Benching Fields isn't a solution because they can't develop qbs or even use backups like Tyrod and lean on the defense.
  19. What? I think you're the dumb one here no offense. I asked for clarification to you saying "All of the ones I have researched make sense" to the CK article I posted, and that was too much for you? I'm just asking what you mean by that. What "Makes sense" to you? You keep saying I need to show proof of what I said, when I have told you multiple times I condemned the CK stuff in that thread - but you cherry picked the ONE reply where I didnt. You can go find the multiple times I did. Do you want me to show where I did 5 separate times? Will that make you happy? I didn't know I had to prove I said something when you're the one saying I didnt. That's on you to go find, but I assure you it's there. The article I sent contains a plethora of quotes that are divisive, which prompted my response in that CK thread that you find so troublesome. Happy to talk through that but I'd love the clarity on the "researched and makes sense" part first.
  20. Maye is at the beginning of his second year. The team is doing what they need to in order to build him up and get him acclimated to the NFL. Same way any team does. He's looking like a solid, great pick, but I want to see how he is doing in Week 9 of year 5. Defenses adjust. Pieces come and go. SCHEDULES get harder. A bit of pump the brakes on this imo.
  21. It's 5 years, but yes, still very much true. In fact, no Head Coach/Starting QB combo has even reached their first Super Bowl together after their first 6 years. And the 6th year only happened once (Reid/McNabb in Philly). I'm very fascinated by this data point and actually have it all laid out in a spreadsheet, which gets updated after every Super Bowl.
  22. His contract is manageable this year and next. Worry about 2027 later.
