Looks like that Raven came in untouched. One of many things that need to be addressed when looking at the tape.
-
I actually thought we looked better with Elijah Moore on the field. He didn't do a ton himself but he draws attention.
-
Reason he was "free", is our rookie DT Walker blocked the wrong man. You block inside to out, he let Hamilton go and it almost cost us
-
1 million percent this.
-
The refs being bad at their jobs is probably the least shocking thing to me in the universe. It's a constant like gravity.
-
one slow motion view from behind prater appears Hamilton actually grazed it and very slightly changes direction... and based on how he reacted I think he felt it
-
The team wasn’t really that close to full strength on defense granted some of it was due to multiple suspensions and not injuries lol
-
It was the third down vs. KC, too. Kincaid had already gotten the first, then Allen got the first AGAIN, and somehow neither counted. That crew shorted us on spots all night. It was maddening. Football really is a game of inches at time, refs shorting us an entire yard in key situations is getting really, really old.
-
I re-watched that kick like 50 times now… how did that Ravens player not block that kick… he almost hesitated before going after it… and why was he so free to almost block that kick.
-
I agree, but Rapp won't be benched IMO
-
Seems like these were take a quick read then Josh just buy time and make something happen for the first two attempts, then a low percentage fade on the 3rd. seems like there needs to be better design on these to get guys open right away. On the penalized attempt your allowed to run a pick within 1 yard. lastly not sure why read option with Josh isn’t the go to choice here and then have give him an option to flip it to a TE or WR since the line doesn’t have to go downfield. hoping Joe Brady can go back and find some better options. And by default this helps in goalline situations as well.
-
I like Benford a lot, but I think you wee see he easily should have had 3 or 4 flags thrown on him last night. But, that being said, some of those plays still resulted in a positive outcome like the Hopkins TD for the Ravens. There were bigger missed PI calls on the Ravens that killed drives for us. End of the day though, both teams got away with a lot of PI non-calls though
-
He played 17 snaps

This is 100% where Im at. We brought in a more athletic safety in Bishop, let him groe/see if he turns into something. But man, Rapp looked like he lost a step and he was already a slower player. It's also just week 1 vs the most dynamic offense in AFC. But it didnt look good at all with our pursuit angles/ability to tackle.

Hey Billy, remember our discussion yesterday about giving Josh the ball with 1:30, needing a FG to win?

9/7/25 Post Game Thread - Bills vs Ravens SNF

Crazy that it takes so long for our coaches to let Josh do these things. 3 quarters of screen passes.... -
Refs spotting the ball
strive_for_five_guy replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
They didn’t want to make it obvious they wanted the Bills to win last night -
Allen has been robbed of 3 first downs in 2 games by this crap...
-
Said it in a different thread a month ago. Some guys just have an “NFL” look when they arrive. Benford was one. I remember looking at him during a blue and red practice and thinking who the (blank) is that. He just looks the part. Strong is another one. As is Jackson Hawes.
-
It's not just you. And it started w/ that 4th down in the KC game last year. That 1st down Josh made was clear & obvious. Maybe they didn't have a great angle, but that could have been a game-changing spot if we hadn't won.
-
Is it me or were they continuously shorting the Bills on the spot of the ball ? The biggest one that comes to mind is when Josh slid directly on top of the marker and the referees decide to spot the ball a full yard behind it. There was another really bad one in the Red Zone as well. I feel like this is becoming a trend since Kansas City last year. Having headquarters in New York quickly change the spot seems like an easy fix. In a game of INCHES, I feel like the NFL should put more emphasis on this problem.

0-1 Chiefs, Ravens, Texans and the rest of the AFC East

we really want the Steelers to win the AFC North - that means that in 2026 we face them and a rookie QB. -
lamar-Henry-flowers is a very tough match for our unit. I expect Rapp-bishop will look better most days going forward.

I'm gonna go with the guy that did something so insane that I don't think any of us here can even truly appreciate it. Josh Allen may end up being the best football player to ever play the game, not just the best QB. McDermott gets zero credit. Defense woefully unprepared. Gameplan was hideously conservative. The 2 point tries... I feel bad for whoever picks him up after Allen retires. Gonna be like Belichick in North Carolina all over again.
