But did Jackson play better then Allen in that game even taking out the 2 TO's? Allen was fantastic in the 1st half badly outplaying Jackson in building a 21 - 10 lead. In the 2nd half the Bills played not to lose and were not taking any chances which limited Allen's chances to make some more big plays. In contrast and as you noted Jackson was playing catch up against a weak defense protecting a lead. He was always going to put up better numbers than Allen in the 2nd half. What needs to be repeated over and over again is that the defense almost blew another playoff game as did the coaches decision to play it close to the vest in the 2nd half.

Bill Belichick didnt have an elite level Quarterback. He had "thee elite level QB." He had the maybe the greatest champion to ever play team sports. Josh is going to end up the greatest Bills QB of all time, but we still have to debate whether he is the best player at his position in one time period. It shouldn't even be an argument as to whether Tom Brady is literally the best player at his position from every time period. Belichick knows more about football than anyone on Earth. That said, he couldn't get a job in the NFL because he is no longer a great coach. He proved that against TcU. Coaching is more than knowing the game of football. As a coach he is cooked. Not to mention the circus he's made his personal life into. If McDermott had Tom Brady in the AFC Championship, with 3 minutes left and the ball, the Bills are likely Super Bowl bound. If Belichick had Allen in the same situation, what changes from last year? I understand this is a Bills message board, but Brady was on another planet when it came to picking a part a defense.

I hope they did! And maybe they did! Just hard to say between injuries and the way we conducted preseason games. If Coleman and Kincaid can stay healthy that's going to be a big help, but that's also a big ask.

I always suspected Chuck E. Cheeses was a front for some kind of illegal activity. All that music, video game bells and screaming is set up as a distraction. You can't notice subtle crimes when your mind is reeling.

True but then again this is going to happen when going up against the best DC in the NFL. The fact remains that Allen made a tremendous throw to put the ball in play and convert the 4th down. Kincaid had both hands on the ball going to the ground. If you watch high school football that same catch is often made. I do believe that if Kincaid had been healthy he snags that ball but pushing off on that knee probably hurt like hell.

I agree- Lamar played a better game than Josh. But the turnovers were the difference. If Josh had even just one turnover, you guys probably win that game. He didn’t. Lamar played vs a terrible bills defense. The bills D was a sieve last season. Bottom 3 on 3rd down in the NFL and seemed to only get worse in the playoffs. Josh played against a solid Ravens D. Solid, not great. Definitely much better than the defense Lamar was facing 💯 and the fact remains that Josh has been a MUCH better playoff QB…..and this is why the narrative is different. Those that have created the narrative have stated why they feel the way they do and there is plenty of evidence that backs it up. Lamar will be an all timer. I do believe that he will win one. Stop worrying about narratives. Enjoy your guy. Coming onto Bills message boards thinking that you’re going to convince that Josh’s narrative should be equal to Lamar’s is just a waste of your short time here on earth. But carry on, it’s your life.

It really shows the inferiority complex some Western New Yorkers have. We have one of the best teams in the NFL too.

For the record I don't hate McDermott. Bill's problem with NE was his role as GM which he sucked at. But he can coach. He doesn't belong in college football. IMHO. I do think he would do better with Allen, and this Bills roster than McDermott. Compare Bill and Sean records when both have had an elite level QB. Nothing personal against Sean but he is not even remotely close to Bill as a HC. The records and championships or lack of championships proves that.

It's week 1, I'm not evaluating this game for anything other than do we start 0-1 or 1-0. Ravens are a contender, Bills are a contender. I love that the Bills are home for this one, hopefully they pull out the win. Either way, week 1 doesn't define a season, so I'm not getting too up or down!
