I agree. I know more macho fans will say it's a weak attitude caused by them beating us so often in the playoffs, and I guess they'd be right. The Chiefs are not dead until they're mathematically eliminated, until that happens they're still very much a threat to every team in the AFC.

Question is would the Broncos intentionally rest starters in order to keep KC out. I think they would. But only if they have a certain seed secured. 

 

As someone said before, the Chargers can not be trusted. Them losing three of these next four is a definite possibility.

I'll put it this way - I'm a poker player.  You quickly learn the difference between something that has a 0% chance of happening and something that has a 2% chance of happening.

There were times this season when watching the league scores that I thought the Chargers had rehired Brandon Staley.  Big early lead, followed by fourth quarter collapse.

Plus, he looks uncannily like the worst planning hitman of all time, Barry Berkman (Bill Hader). 🤔

The only chance the Chiefs have is Colts and Chargers collapse. Which isn’t impossible because the Colts just lost their starting QB, and the Chargers QB just had surgery for a broken hand.

I don't disagree. But being a threat isn't the same as being a dynasty. The Bills have been a threat with Allen, but we weren't a dynasty. KC has to do some major retooling to get back to being perennial SB favorites. That was my original point, not that they can't make the playoffs this year or next.

Sean Payton would absolutely do that. Bills can do our part by beating New England next week which opens the path for Denver to have the #1 seed clinched before week 18. They win the tiebreaker over New England for common opponents (because NE lost to the Raiders) so they just need to be 1 game ahead heading into week 18 and they have it clinched.

I hoped for this last season, but you never know. But now we see it. Kelce, once an unstoppable force and a first-down machine, is now 36, a role player, and very stoppable.

Chris Jones, still makes plays, but is no longer an unblockable terror up the middle. He's good but no longer consistently great.

I'm not saying the Chiefs can't be good or make the playoffs in the next year or two. But the dynasty is over. They are no longer favorites to win it all every year. They will battle for the playoffs now. The 90s Bills are happy (that record run of four-straight SB appearances record should stay intact), the current Bills are happy, and we should be too.

They will re-tool and be fine next season

They could very well be "fine." But I'm betting they won't be SB faves. That was my point. Dynasty was the key word, not a good team or even very good. I don't think they're winning multiple SBs in the new handful of years. I could be wrong but a lot has changed this past year.

To me, there's not a whole lot of difference between 0% and 2%.

 

Here's my example of Sweats math......

 

Ole Sweats might have a 0% chance at securing a date this weekend and he may have a 2% chance........so either way between those two numbers, ole Sweats is going to be awfully lonely this weekend and i'd be willing to go so far as saying that even ole Sweats with an 80% chance with the ladies this weekend, better invest in Kleenex and a bottle of Jergens.

I know this sounds like nails on a chalkboard to Bills fan but as long as they have Mahomes, they are a contender. Manning had down years with wins and losses as well. Events like Kelce retiring might be good for them. I think there are too many distractions on that team these days. They need to get back to being hungry.

I'd like to see the Bills beat the Chiefs to get in the superbowl, but you play who the schedule says you play.

 

Houston is spookier to me.  Even though stroud sucks, I don't trust the Bills defense to play them as tough as KC did.  The big question is if our coaching staff will roll out another turd of an offensive gameplan and get Allen murdered.

They're not done yet. Obviously they need to win out and can only get the 7 seed. However, I could see them as 7 seed going to 2 seed New England and winning. It's more likely than you'd think. Just remember where you heard it first!
