This is the one. It's not as crazy as it sounds either. If we cut Samuel and Knox, and restructure Allen and Brown, that alone gives us about $50M in cap space to work with next year and that's just doing the bare minimum cap manipulation. You would definitely want to make Pittsburgh keep some of the salary as part of the trade if at all possible but either way we can fit him or any other available WR of our choosing into the cap next year.

They wouldn’t be moving Harmon.  So Metcalf is the only guy.  I don’t think he’s worth the contract, but sometimes you can’t get everything you want.  I doubt he’s gotten worse as a WR.  Arthur Smith is his OC and his QB is washed.

I would still take Metcalf. He's only 28 and still a freak athlete. Pittsburgh just sucks. I think he would excel with Josh throwing him the football. 

 

I'd also take Patrick Queen. Let him play the inside and QB the defense. Move Bernard to one of the outside spots.

He hasn't got worse but Seattle always knew what they had - the ultimate one trick pony. Pittsburgh have tried to use him in more diverse ways and he can't do it. He can run downfield in straight lines very quickly. That's it. However that is the thing the Bills can't do and need....

Derrick Harmon is the DT many of you wanted in this year's draft... first round pick, looks awesome. Might not fit the new system.

 

Kyle Duggar and Jabrill Peppers will both be free agents. Solid depth at Safety and the type of hard hitters we want... unless you're happy with Poyer again next year.

 

Isaac Seamalo's contract is up after this year. Solid veteran guard... which we might need.

 

Shoot, I'd even look at Brandin Echols as a cheap nickel replacement for Taron Johnson if we cut him.

 

There are plenty of guys, but we can do this exercise with any team. Better to do it with a dumpster fire team that will sell off like the Vikings or Jets.

I agree with you.  The Jet’s and Vikings are good as choices for a trade.  The Steelers are getting old.  Metcalf although admittedly I wanted that trade before the year, but he’s fallen off a cliff, and Watt is too expensive and has lost a step.  Hayward’s probably won’t last much longer.
