Denzel Boston has NFL genes (David Boston's son) and a tad faster at 4.54 and bigger and be a guy I'd think I'd pursue with our first pending rest of season.

Beane draws a hard line when it comes to his zero tolerance policy on speedy, athletic receivers. Add in this young man’s catch radius, which during the games I’ve seen him play, is quite impressive and there’s no chance he winds up in Buffalo if Beane is still around

I'd say there is like 75+% chance that we are drafting WR round 1 this year. Beane or not.

 

I am not a college guy, but looking at some big boards, one of these players is a future Bill:

 

Carnell Tate, Ohio State (seems unlikely right now)

Chris Bell, Louisville

KC Conception, Texas A&M

I am an Texas A&M fan and have watched most of the games and I am a big fan of KC Concepcion.  He reminds me of Diggs (only 2 inches shorter, but weighs the same) he is twitchy, and quick, and has great speed.  He would cover two rolls for us at WR and PR (which he is awesome at). He can play outside WR as well which he played 67.4% of his snaps there.  I honestly thought he plays just like Diggs.  He does have a 11.3% drop rate which is a little high but some of those drops were not on him and were not good throws.  I would take him in a heartbeat. 

 

Problem is he may not work good if we get stuck with this coaching staff (i.e. Brady and McD wanting to run the ball so much).  If we wanted to win we could bring back Daboll as OC and we would have this WR group looking like it was when he was here the first time.

Shakir = Beasley

Davis/Coleman = Davis

Concepcion = Diggs

Hardman = Mckenzie

This is most probably true.

But if for some odd reason a really good DE drops to their slot, I think they'd seriously consider him.

On the other hand, I would not rule out the possibility of them actually spending some draft capital to move up for a WR they really like.

McBeane are laying 5D Chess with the NFL and will draft a WR in the 5th round for their all world QB. I they minds they are the smartest in theroom all the time.

Yeah that's why it is not 100%

Most estimates of his speed that I've seen suggest that he runs the 40 in the low to mid 4.4s.  He is generally seen as more quick than fast.  In the low 4.4s, you can still beat a lot of CBs.  The bigger issue is that most see him as a slot receiver.  That would still leave Buffalo with the dilemma on who lines up outside.
