When the other QB sucks, we suck. Weird how that's. McD runs this team. Brady does...........well idk. They're both to blame. Get Beane out too. Grass may not be greener, but all this has looked like crap. If we truly believ that Josh is the reason we're contenders every year then maybe it won't matter a ton who the coach is.

It starts at the top so it’s McD but unfortunately I don’t believe Pegula will do anything. Exhibit A is the Sabres. They’re terrible and no changes. This roster is terrible too. So you can discharge Beane as well as far as I’m concerned. You have a great QB and this roster is crap along with the coaching staff in general.

I’ve got a question about the offensive game plan: who’s actually calling the shots—McDermott or Brady?

I’ve been wondering about this and wanted to hear some opinions. Last week against Tampa, the offense looked creative and explosive, even with backups in key spots. Then last night we went right back to the predictable, run-heavy approach…and we all saw how that ended.

So is Brady actually designing the offensive game plan, or is McDermott too involved and getting in the way? Personally, I think it’s McD. He’s a great coach overall and a good team builder bringing men together, but he needs to stay in his lane. To me, he still feels more like a great defensive coordinator than a true head coach when it comes to the whole team and offensive involvement.  He would be a great Defensive Coordinator somewhere else and great at it when he can focus only on that.

I wish McD would just let Brady do his thing from here on out and stay out of the offense and play Josh ball.  We still may have lost last night but at least they would have been having fun IMO.  Thoughts???

It was the D in the first half, and the O-line the entire game.  That's what I saw.  The amount of time it takes for our D to make adjustments is absolutely mind boggling.

Worst game by this O-line by far.  Dawkins was awful, and they waited way too long to pull Brown out.  His injury was obviously affecting his play.

If peak Travis Kelce were on the Bills with Brady and Allen, would he be as effective. If not, is that because of Allen or Brady?

Yes I think he would.

The offense is changed to run clock and lessen the exposure of the defense to multiple drives.  The defense has made strives in the last two games in second half adjustments.  This team is now seeing an O line that is aging out.  The NFL is fluid.  The game plan was an indictment on Brady.   Why not got with Anderson on the field to assist on pass protection and run blocking?  Speed DE?  Run the ball at them.  Take the starch out of them.  As bad as the offense looked last night, they had a chance to win at the very end.  The very best defense in the NFL could have been defeated.  Time to lick the wounds, build a better game plan and brace for the rest of the season.

Sean is a great leader and the team seems unified and a positive culture has been established. They play for each other.Unfortunately he is not what this team needs right now. We desperately need an innovative offensive coach who can best utilize our most talented players. He also is not fundamentally sound because every week the players have an abundance of bad decisions and dumb penalties. Could it be he has lost his ability to keep some of these older players disciplined and detail oriented? When a player like Dawkins, has a presnap penalty on a 4th and one, that is on the HC. When you’re a turnstile like Dion was and you’re getting humiliated and putting your franchise QB in real danger, you can’t make that mistake. Also, his personnel decisions have been really bad. Why did he allow Coleman to go down in flames over 10 weeks before calling him out? Why didn’t he insist on Beane bringing in a competent secondary player at the deadline, knowing our corners were not effective, and we lost Rapp for the season?  How far will we go watching this team diminish before we address these problems?

I put a lot of this on brady.  We just never adjusted to their pass rush, it felt like we were consistently trying to beat them in spread looks with mesh and crossers.  Allen's first INT seemed to spook him on the spot routes in the middle, and too much stuff was happening way too far down the field with how quickly pressure was getting there.   Houston never had to really adjust and essentially played a man under game with a spy on 3rd downs.

It was a difficult game to watch when the changes were not made.

McDermott calls the defense. IMO I think he’s doing a good job holding the defense together and keeping it afloat despite all the injures they have especially up front. Joe Brady and Josh run the show on offense.

I think McD has done a solid job keeping this defense held together considering who is playing in that side of the ball right now.

Think about all our losses this season. It’s been the offense failing in key situations that have lost us our games. Whether that be turnovers, going three and out in high leverage moments, or simply not scoring when it’s absolutely needed. Yes we don’t have a pass rush right now. But half our d line is out and Bosa is playing with one arm.

I think you have to bring in a new OC this off-season. I think you also need to consider firing Beane. I would retain McD. At this point in Josh’s career, we don’t have the years to waste on a, probably, rookie head coach who needs to get the correct pieces in place.

This is wrong on so many levels but if you want to talk about "key situations" and "high leverage moments" how about letting the Texans go on a 75 yard TD drive to end the half right after Davis had put the Bills ahead with his electrifying KO return?  A competent D would not have given up any points in that critical situation and even would have leveraged the moment to get the ball back to Allen (Bills had 3 TO's) before the half ended for a possible FG drive.

McDermott is the HEAD COACH!!!  It’s all on him.  He is responsible for all of how team performs.

Fish rots from the head. Just speculation on my part but I dont think that offence is in McD’s DNA. it’s just not there. Combine that with his need to control and his desire, born of insecurity, to not be outperformed by an assistant and this is what you get.

Houston defense is #1 in the NFL in different categories while Tampa defense is in the bottom  quarter in many categories...so it is not apples ot apples comparison.

The Houston defense came to play on National team and beat up our OL....Their front four had the fiercest pass rush that Allen has seen only today in his career....they were relentless.

just hpoing Josh doesn't just say screw this and walk away.

He might...if the opportunity opens up on the West Coast....I definitely see him navigating his way out of Buffalo if this ***** continues.

For his legacy I sometimes almost wish he would. I did say “almost”. Imagine what he could accomplish in a good, well constructed offence under the direction of a competent OC.

Sean is not in the same league as Peyton, McVay etc.  He may not even be in Vrabel's league

You're Joe Brady and had to sit there from the 2024 AFC CG loss to opening day.  And in all that time, the GM and HC hand you 1 (EDIT: new) offensive player who'll receiving at least moderate snaps in Josh Palmer.  Nothing else.

And that's because HC and GM were offensively lazy and assumed similar production with Josh Allen and improvements from unproven players.

Still, this is a discussion of to which degree who is at fault.  Brady, sure but this problem goes all the way upstream.

Football philosophy -> Scheme -> Personnel -> Coaching -> Game Planning -> Play Calls -> Plays

The issues in multiple games are rooted in decisions made this off-season which were wrong and avoided a true deep-dive.  They chose to run it back...again.

Players was not an option to pick here, and was the main reason for the L. Our O-line got whipped. Simple as that. Brady shares some blame, as does McD, but only dummies think "is it this guy's fault or that guy?". Personnel didn't execute and/or got beat at their assignments out there. Heck, speaking of personnel, the D stood up in the 2nd half and gave the O a chance to take it, but they couldn't.

If Dennison, Daboll, & Dorsey had gone on to have success, maybe you could say it's McDermott causing the offensive woes.

McDermott isn't calling long developing mesh concepts when Josh is getting instant pass rush in his face. So Brady gets the most blame in my opinion.

But McDermott does pick the OC. And he doesn't have a good track record so far. And there is a dearth of talent on this roster which largely falls on Beane and his mediocre drafting.

I also watched the Texans pick on Tre White the entire game
