You're right, 1 TD was a return.  Their Defense gave up 26 unanswered points in just over a quarter--no aid there.

I stayed home on my comfy couch and saw a Buffalo Bills team with to many injuries to beat any team. I saw poor pass protection and 8 sacks. I saw 3 turn overs by the Bills and none by the Texans. I saw my bank account grow by staying home and not flying to Houston.

FWIW I obviously agree with you, I want more out of this offense. I just don't know what anyone expects. We intentionally hired a green OC who happened to already be in the building and we've surrounded Allen with JAGs. Why is anyone expecting us to score more than 20 on the road on TNF against an elite defense? That was never going to be the winning game script for this one. If we wanted that to be the game script we needed to approach the offseason spending in the complete opposite direction.

the offense scored 12 points. 20 would have done it.

Seems to me we're running the same designed pass plays when Tyrod Taylor was here. Two speedsters Woods and Goodman never got separation. But, once they left Buffalo they went wild as receivers. Our receivers aren't great but the routes they are forced to run are a joke. Worse than high school. What should be a short pass our guys are still running thirty yards downfield. Anyone can see that from the end zone cam from Allen's back.

ABSOLUTELY NOT!! Over-promoting leads to firing... or hurt feelings if he gets interim and then is asked to step back down to OL Coach.  Dont tinker with Kromer.  If we do decide to blow up the staff I really hope we find a way to keep Kromer.  I know OL had a rough night last night, but theyve been a major strength for years now.  Losing Kromer would hurt more than any other coach on this team.

 

Would be pretty devastating to see a new HC not keep him on staff too.  Im ready for coach/gm change... blow them all up except Kromer.

Offense is absolutely missing a Beasley clone.  Not a coincidence that Josh played his best ball ever with him on the team.  Id argue he was more important than Diggs.  Shakir is nice, he may be getting misused, but I cant see him ever being a high volume WR.  Cole was good for 6-10 catches & first downs a game. We need an always open guy, and thats easier to find with a slot WR than a boundary guy.

 

I'm dead serious, Id consider a Shakir draft day trade if we end up in range to snag one of the stud slot guys coming out.  Shakir is a finishing/fine polish guy for a team, luxury #3.  We need a volume guy and a boundary WR.  Thats super do-able in the offseason

Is this true?  I dont think it is.  Even if he said it out loud it will NEVERRRRR happen.  That cheap owner would under no circumstances eat that cap hit, even if offered a Deshaun Watson trade package for him (not advocating  for this BTW).

55 gets a pass because its first time... paying 91 what we do, and having him miss so many games is f****n brutal.  Im def at the point of a mini rebuild.  People are going to hate some of it.  Milano needs to go.  Knox - dramatic paycut or release.  Trade Kincaid if you can get a good return for him.  Its suuuuuucks, but paying what hes going to get on free market, with his injury history is a trap.  Look to move Oliver.

 

Next season could be a bit rough, but we could end up with a nice draft haul from those few moves.  Take our medicine on dead cap..... we can still sneak in as a dangerous Wild Card.  It wouldnt effect us the way youd think with them hurt as much as they are.... were already at a mini rock bottom without them on team right now, so I cant see it costing us many/any games.... hopefully get some juice from 2026 class to help offset it. 

 

Then we can REALLY open up the window in 2027.... I dont at all believe this would cause 2026 to be a season we punt off and commit to losing or anything, we'd have a similar ceiling to what we have now... but healthy, and extra talent from draft returns

Yeah, Kromer is not an OC and he might be the first to tell you that. He got a taste of it before and now seems happy in his OL role.
