And that was his fault. It doesn't need to be as complicated as he's making it. It's not anything new. He was awful to start off the previous game before he just started racking up an insane amount of TDs too. He's looked off all year.

He's processing slow and locking in on the play that he wants to hit, instead of the play that's there.
He has lost the ability to sense pressure and is taking dangerous sacks

He's no longer able to process defenses and is throwing balls in to prime places to be picked or easily defensed.

He looks like a man who's tired, distracted, and not putting in the work to keep himself at his former level. In spit of this, a lot of folks are glazing him for his heroics, but those heroics are only necessary because he refuses to take the easy play. We have the best rushing attack in football this year, and he's still making the game hard.

Allen insists on making the game all about himself when he doesn't need to. He's one of the most gifted players to ever play the game, and he's absolutely going to the HoF, but if he doesn't win a ring, it will be his own fault. It's a team game, not a reality show where Josh Allen shows how much better he is than everyone else.

Davis Mills understood that assignment and his team won.

You can want that all you want but that’s not who Allen is. Allen did a few times take what the defense gave him. It lead to punts. They aren’t going to march 80 yards down the field 2 yards at a time.

I think the All-22 on this one is going to show an offensive line that was giving up pressure very quickly (especially the RT), and WR not getting open down field against sticky coverage. Definitely not getting open in time where Allen could throw it down field before he was pressured.

Maybe we should have run more, idk. Houston seemed to be for the most part shutting that down as well. I think basically all of Allen's completed passes (except maybe one to Davis?) were less than 10 yards in the air. So actually he only took the easy plays, and for the most part Houston shut those down too.

The heroics were a great player trying to manufacture something out of nothing. Basically the same thing that happened in the second half of the Dolphins game. This offense is broken, and I don't think it's really on the QB (who coming into this game was top 5 in basically every normal stat and fancy efficiency stat and is the reigning MVP).

Then you're going to have to live with results like this the rest of Allen's career. He has fewer years ahead of him at this level than he does behind him, and this style of ball has never worked.

I don't see any way it which it's suddenly going to lead to a championship as he ages into his 30s and loses the ability to scramble at a world class level, extend plays by dodging defenders in the backfield, and eventually a loss of arm strength. It's possible these things are already happening.

If Allen can only win "his way". Then he'll join guys like Warren Moon, Dan Marino, and Philip Rivers who always gave their team a shot, put up gawdy numbers, but ultimately were never really threats to win it all. I sure hope he figures out how to play championship football instead.

That play sheet is defensive calls 

 

Sean McDermott has been our coach for 9 years and has never called one offensive play... Dude we've had four offensive coordinators that he trusts and he's willing to even can them

 

Sure you could say he's pretty bad at picking offensive coordinators ... He certainly is not calling our plays 

 

Even sean McDermott is not dumb enough to call a run up the gut on 4th and two lol

 

That is ridiculous.. Josh can change the play anytime he wants.. I wonder if he really wants to get Brady fired 

 

Because Peyton Manning would have checked out.. Josh 3 years ago would have checked out... Is he willing to go down with the ship so they get rid of the people ?

 

Again I've never been one to think Josh is ever going to force his way out of Buffalo.. but exposing bad coaching to force them out is different

I didn't see a lot of those "easy plays" Allen was skipping tonight did you?  And I recall one drive when the Bills got to the 35 and then proceeded to run Cook 4 straight times and couldn't get the first down at a critical moment in the game.

I’ve seen on TV. McDermott looked at a a play sheet when the offense was being called he sure does look at the play that’s been called. It’s been happening the last couple weeks. How do you know Josh can change, plays and Josh yelled something like what are we doing? McDermott said at the press conference earlier in the week we’re not gonna change anything because it’s too short of a week. I knew we were in trouble then and they were talking about on podcast how the Texan seemed to know the plays you can’t just run the same play. You ran the week before that’s laziness on the head coach.

We've managed to successfull weaken ourselves absolutely everywhere including in the coaching staff.

I don't really follow the cap, but I am concerned about some of these contracts.  I imagine the only way to turn this around sooner than later is to have a couple home run drafts, which Bean doesn't seem capable of.

Best pass rushing defense in the league + receivers that can’t get open is a recipe for a hurt QB. We’ll be lucky if some of those hits don’t show lasting effects. Not sure what we have to do at this point to convince leadership to get a legitimate NFL caliber WR. Even mid tier at this point
