Buffalo Ballin Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Our offense has to be a balanced attack against this number one defense. - Can't run all the time. - Can't pass all the time. - Don't field punts. Perhaps those laser side passes to James Cook and Ty Johnson can do the trick. Maybe. And Josh Allen running around. Eat the clock. Long drives. Take our time. And for our defense, get stops. We'll be praying. Get turnovers. Their offense is bad. Get our offense many chances to score anything. Limit big runs. Texans looking to run it down our throats since we're abysmal at stopping that. juno999 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Hopefully Shaq Thompson is good to go. If so, I believe Bills defense will play a fair amount of 4 3 to try to stop the run and focus on Nico Collins in the pass game. On offense, might be a James Cook game along with a short passing attack. Move the sticks, chew clock and score points. 1 Quote
Brianmoorman4jesus Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I understand the Texans defense is good. But we are better on offense than they are at defense. We have the best player in the league playing QB. We are going to get ours. I do not want to come out playing slow or scared. The only people in the league that wouldn’t be terrified of the Bills offense, are our own fans. The Texans should be very worried that we will come out and do what we did against TB. If we score 25+ I can’t see how their offense can keep up. I do not want to get in a game where we are running long drives and limiting possessions. That is what Houston is praying for. I want to see the throttle down. Do not get in a game where a mistake or two can sink you. I want to give Josh as many shots as possible to put up that 30. You start having 7-10 minute drives and all of a sudden the 19 points that Davis mills can score can beat you. Go play fast. I guarantee you Houston is petrified that 17 can go off and be the best player in the world. Throw in Cook here and there and WE have the best unit in the game. We are the ones to be afraid of. Not the Houston Defense. Do not go out there and give them the chance to beat us by playing into their strengths. It’s going to be up to our own defense to not get blown off the ball and allow super long drives. But our offense can not play ball control. We need to go out there and try to get them down 14. That’s how we win 2 3 1 2 Quote

eball Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago So we can assume no Kincaid, Samuel, or Hardman on offense tomorrow night. Looks like Shaq will be back on D. If I recall last year’s game in Houston correctly, Cook was lighting it up early and then we got away from that. I have a sneaking suspicion that the Bills are going to be successful with outside zone runs against this defense, which will open things up for Josh. I’m not a real X-and-O guy so take it for what it’s worth, but I’ve seen too many games in which somebody says “they can’t do this” and then they do exactly that. Houston’s D is getting just a bit too much love, and Josh is ready to take over the season. Go Bills! 1 1 Quote

If the Bills had done that last season, think we would have had a different outcome in that game. Quote

I don't want to use up half a quarter and run the risk of getting stopped on 4th down or having to kick a FG. Come out and get the lead and never relinquish. 1 Quote

OL will have to come to play. Our injury report is starting to creep into the offensive side of the ball as well. Wide Receiver for instance is a bit uncertain and on a short week. Bills O - 387.4 yards per game #2 in the league 29.2 ppg 4th in the league. Texans defense allows 258 yards 16.3 points per game, both best in the league. 1 Quote

I understand they are good. Who they played has alot more to do with then people are understanding but they are good. I’m just not afraid of them stopping us. We stop ourselves occasionally but almost nobody ever really stops us. That’s just reality Quote

SoCal Deek Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago The surprising thing I noticed in going through the stats from the last month’s worth of Texans games is that they’re relying almost exclusively on Davis Mills throwing the football. You’d have thought they would be a run heavy offense with Stroud sidelined but that is definitely not the case. Given how poor our run defense has been I like the Bills chances if Houston continues relying on Mills to carry their offense. (Now watch Houston steamroll us for 250 on the ground. 🙄) Quote

I wanted the Bills to sign him when he was available. I'd love to have a big back to pound teams with behind this big offensive line. Quote
