If Thompson is healthy he needs to start. The LBs are a major issue here but it can be fixed in house. 45 and 42 should be the LBs going forward. I love Milano and if he’s out there with Thompson, I can live with it. I’d strongly prefer Dorian Williams out there at this stage of their careers. In a perfect world we’d just play a base defense and maybe actually be good but I can’t ever expect this coach to get that. 42 45 58 on the field all at the same time really changes the physicality of the defense. With Bishop making strides I feel like I trust the back end. The one certainty is 8 needs to come off the field. I’m willing to believe he’s hurt. That’s fine. I don’t care. It’s nothing personal. He just sucks right now and I need him off the field. It’s time to start trimming the fat. It’s not really an issue of labeling why you aren’t playing well. It’s a matter of, the better guys need to be playing. It’s very simple

McD has said more than once that Coleman has not been good enough.  When that’s the case and he is not responding appropriately to coaching you can certainly call that disciplinary, but regardless, I am sure they know it’s not good enough, and so does he.

I'm outside tailgating at stadium right now.  Light sustained wind.  Warm when the sun is out from behind clouds.  Cold when the sun is blocked.

I am seeing 20 mph wind speed, which is high but manageable. The bigger issue is the gusts, which might be around 40 mph. If it is gusting like that with any frequency, forget about the downfield passing game. 

So you're saying that favors us since we don't have this "downfield passing game" thing.

Maybe not the best thread for it so I'll make it short.

Today's NFL WR's are interesting. They're dynamic across the board. Beyond your top 10-12 (Jefferson, Chase, and even Diggs) you have a lot of very good athletes that aren't the full toolbox of abilities. Diggs has those tools even if they're diminishing. 

 

The depth WR is obviously a speciality player in most cases; size, speed, route diversity, and other characteristics. But, many WR who are #1 and not a top 10 type have the same issues. 

 

Because of this I like that we have Gabe Davis who is a specialist to run deep. Palmer can run inside routes. Samuel is an unknown wildcard.  Moore is deep. Shakir is split. Coleman is a contest catch short yard guy. 

 

It's only because our diversity of the TEs that give us anything

I was at the Panthers game and watched him very closely. I went into the game as a Keon fan and left not a Keon fan. His body language was awful. His effort was awful. His production was awful. The guy is big and strong but plays small and weak. He's too slow and too lazy a route runner to separate. He gives up on catchable balls.

 

If he had any heart to fight through the defender and come back to the ball he'd have drawn a couple PI's for sure. He just flat gives up when the ball is in the air if it's not dropped right on him. You could just tell by the way he was carrying himself that he was completely disengaged.

 

I'm not an NFL coach but I coach youth football and just the way the guy carries himself would put him on my do not draft list. I don't know what happened or what went wrong, but its time to move on.

Don't believe last year he was actually inactive though.  Thought it was like he didn't play the first half or something.  Making him inactive for disciplinary reasons would be a new low for him.

Watching Washington offense do what the Bills should have done against Miami is annoying.  Hope Brady makes adjustments.  He is stuck in a play design rut.   And no silly or cute plays.

For some much needed good news, our rookies, sophomores and 3rd year players are showing significant improvement and growth! This bodes well for the offseason as we can cut many expiring contracts from older players,  reducing their fat cap hits. Beane is riding a 2-3 year Drafting record of adding solid players- they just can’t stay healthy!

 

For the Bucs, Baker & Vita Vea are the standout players but their nucleus is pretty solid. Todd Bowles is a no-nonsense coach.  They’re susceptible to play action and can’t handle the Blitz. (their starting Guards and WRs are on IR) So get Cook and the RBs active in the passing game and get after Baker! If our record isn’t 7-3 by 5:30 pm, the season could well be up in the air!🫨🫣

 

1st, For our part, we’re wearing our Throwback uniforms again. ❤️ Too bad it wasn’t for the Fergy game.. We get Gabe Davis and TJ Sanders back/activated and added Mecole Hardman while likely getting Josh Palmer back! One more TD catch and Dawson Knox will move into 10th place in team history for most TD catches! This SHOULD  be enough - if we can get the pass rush going.. We NEED the Mafia in full throat this afternoon to help the Bills get out of this funk they’re in! I Billieve and so do you! NE* is trying to lay stake to the Division. We’re the only team who can derail their train -and By God, we SHOULD!
