Yes, I'm thinking about firing my OC mid season and hiring a guy I didn't get along with but I'm not sure if I want him here or if he would come back. If that doesn't happen we'll probably stick with Joe. You know on the other hand, I wonder if the NY Giants have made inside overtures to Joe Brady to be their next head coach? Must be a reason as to why brady has mailed in a few games this season. Almost like he didn't game plan at all. The current NY Giants GM Joe Schoen used to work for Brandon Beane and he wasn't fired. EDIT: Thinking of that I hope McD has a replacement OC in mind as I really doubt that Joe Brady is here next season. Quote
Nihilarian Posted Tuesday at 05:08 AM Posted Tuesday at 05:08 AM (edited) Think back to last season against the Lions a 48 to 42 win and the Rams game a 42-44 loss. The Bills had no problem passing last season when needed and now suddenly with a better receiving corps the offensive passing game is dying. Our superstar at QB looks very shaky too. 😢 Somethings smells rotten and it ain't in Denmark! Edited Tuesday at 05:11 AM by Nihilarian 1 Quote

While we’re at it, we can bring back Marv again too 😂 Often injured defense, these players are too soft. This team needs to bring back Gregg Williams. * DISCLAIMER: This suggestion is totally sarcastic, a farcical idea. I am clearly declaring it as such, since Williams will probably claim this one post on a message board is proof that many NFL teams are interested in him. 🤨 1 Quote

TheFunPolice Posted Tuesday at 05:33 PM Posted Tuesday at 05:33 PM (edited) Daboll's Giants team is an example of mindless aggression. It plays VERY well with football players, who want to hit, attack, be aggressive, etc. And there is a time and place. But it also leads to needless injuries (Dart has had like 12 concussions in 5 games or something) and also turnovers and sloppiness. When it does work it looks great and seems like fun, but it's out of control and now the rookie QB has serious injury concerns halfway through his first season. You want controlled aggression like the Lions or Eagles. Not pedal to the medal hell or high water approach. Edited Tuesday at 05:35 PM by TheFunPolice Quote

stuvian Posted Tuesday at 06:34 PM Posted Tuesday at 06:34 PM it's quite telling that no one has succeeded with Big Blue since Coughlin. You wonder if they had hung onto Jones and Barkley that things might have been different. Nothing is fair in life or in football. I get the feeling that the Mara family wants to bring in a big name after years of futility. I didn't know about Daboll's temper eruptions. He sounds very volatile on top of some questionable decisions. If he really is a QB whisperer he'll get another shot. Quote

This article in the Athletic talked about all the coaches that he didn't get along with headlined by Wink Martendale, but 5 others fired too, lit into the team doc on sideline., blocked a lateral move for existing OC, but then yanked the play calling away from him , lax discipline on the team etc. I don't recall the Jerry Hughes thing?? 2 Quote

ngbills Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago (edited) Daboll back as consultant for passing game? Interesting stats - simple look not a deep dive: Daboll Last two years - 7 games under 200 passing yards and only 2 games with under 300 total yards Dorsey 1.5 seasons - 6 games under 200 passing yards and only 2 games with under 300 total Brady About 2 full season - 12 games under 200 passing yards and 6 games under 300 total Edited 1 hour ago by ngbills Quote

Honestly I’m done with Beane McClappy and the cast of inside hires; it’s the same saga every season. Remember when reruns were marked as "(R)"in TV guides, we’re the equivalent of that show Bills “(R)” ! IMO we need a reboot, everything is trending in the wrong direction. More interested in running the clock and reducing the number of times the opponents have the ball. I am not a fan of it but it is what it is. Quote

Many are overly fond of Daboll. He had a horrible track record as OC pre-Josh. Daniel Jones is having a career resurgence after leaving Daboll. Daboll had success here because he had prime Josh, prime Diggs, and prime Beasley. 2 2 Quote
RkFast Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Anyone who watched the Giants under Daboll saw that the man was a complete psycho and terrible HC. His decisions were atrocious and he made Carl Mauck look like Mr. Rogers in terms of sideline demeanor. Quote

They may be backed into a corner if McDummy blows the playoffs again. They;re moving to the new stadium and need it full. A fresh start if you will. I don't blame McD for Diggs drop or the officiating last year absolutely taking the game from us...but we seem to always have a path to the one seed shot every year because of what we saw Sunday too many times or end of game stupidity. We should have been the 1 seed last year. We still have a shot this year too. GO JETS! Quote

Fans are going to want to check it out to see what a game is like there and what else the stadium has to offer since it will be 53 years since Bills fans got to experience a new stadium. Once the "shine" of the place wears off then they better have a competitive team at the prices they are charging otherwise hello empty seats. Quote
