Alphadawg7 Posted November 8 Posted November 8 6 hours ago, Kirby Jackson said: No one said that this is what’s likely. It just said the betting favorites (which is inarguably a fact). DraftKings has Baltimore at -145 & Pittsburgh +135 & Denver at +110 & KC +145 (so not favorites). This is a hypothetical. That’s what we do here It was never intended to be “will this or won’t this happen.” HYPOTHETICALLY, “which is a better path.” The board is pretty much split right down the middle. Both sides are perfectly reasonable. No one is suggesting that either scenario would happen. Put that aside and what’s the best option for the Bills to get where they need to be? It is, and always been, the 1 seed. It’s statistically and mathematically the best choice. 2 games at home vs 3 games on the road is not comparable. Some of you talk like KC and Balt are some uncontrollable force when neither team is as good as last years versions, we already beat them both this year including the biggest beat down we have put on KC yet last week. But hey to each their own. Quote
Scott7975 Posted November 8 Posted November 8 I’ll still take the 1 seed. It’s a huge advantage to have a weeks rest, only play two games, and them both being at home. Quote
EssexBill Posted November 8 Posted November 8 The two teams that worry me are the ravens and the chiefs so I’d take the 5 seed and then give the pats a beat down in their own house in the AFCCG Quote

But hey to each their own. Baltimore, ok, we’ve beaten them in the playoffs - even though we did so playing scared last year. KC, comical to keep referencing regular season success. Clearly that doesn’t matter. To your first point, the Bills have no excuse to not get the 1 seed. If they can’t get it due to New England, Denver or Indy, shame on them. We’re tied for the lead in the AFC in the loss column with a game remaining in NE and only 1 AFC loss. Beane made no moves at the deadline. He better have been right in holding firm. The one seed not only helps us stay healthy.. a team constantly dealing with that issue and past two years has been down entire units on defense against KC, but also potentially avoids having to play both KC and Baltimore (assuming both make it) and especially avoids having to go to Baltimore or host KC in the WC should things shake out that way. nosejob Posted November 8 Posted November 8 Obviously, the 1 seed. KC and Balt. may not make it to OP. Quote
dayman Posted November 8 Posted November 8 I would rather not have to play them. I’ll go on road. Quote
Alphadawg7 Posted November 9 Posted November 9 This is why you don’t play 3 playoff games on the road instead of two at home. You can’t trust this team against lesser teams. This game should really be the nail in this question. 1 Quote
SCBills Posted November 9 Posted November 9 Can’t believe we might play zero playoff games in Highmark Stadium’s final year. 1 Quote
The 9 Isles Posted November 9 Posted November 9 Who gives a crap. This team gets bounced, same old story. 1 Quote
Fleezoid Posted November 9 Posted November 9 Does anyone really believe this team can play 3 straight, great, or just solid games against playoff teams in a row? I wouldn't trust that for a second, and it spells disappointment!! 1 1 Quote

Brianmoorman4jesus Posted November 10 Posted November 10 At this point just find a way to get in. It’s going to be a lot to even get in now. 1 Quote
Goin Breakdown Posted November 10 Posted November 10 (edited) I'm not confident we'll even make the playoffs. If you lose to a team that just fired their GM and just days ago was I leading talent from the roster, the who the hell should we feel confident about them beating. And I don't want to hear about teams playing with nothing to lose. I'd think teams playing for something to gain should whoop on that team. Yeah yeah division games are hard and they come fighting. Ohh yeah? Where was buffalos fight? It was a division game right? Edited November 10 by Goin Breakdown Quote
PauleeeWalnuts Posted November 10 Posted November 10 At 6-3 and the division basically slipping away, it’s not going to be easy getting a WC now. Too many teams ahead of them playing g better Quote

Does anyone really believe this team will win the 1 seed As everyone has said, what will likely happen is irrelevant in this thread. It’s only about the 2 exact choices the OP gave only apparently. And today just proves this was never a choice, you don’t play a 3rd game and all on the road with this team instead of only 2 games, both at home Quote
