Alphadawg7 Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago (edited) Forget the locker room stuff, this guy is a legit DT - is readily available, and isn't in position to command a ton of money - while playing a position we have a ton of injuries at. Assuming he is healthy - THERE IS NO RISK - If we sign him and he becomes a problem, bye - it cost us no assets to take the chance. We have everything to gain here and nothing to lose, and at a postion we really need the help. Im not saying just blindly sign him, I am saying lets kick the tires and see where his head is at. Even just sign him to the practice squad first until we know what we have. This is supposed to be one of the best locker room cultures in the NFL - the place McD says you got to be the best version of yourself. We gambled on Diggs - it worked for 4 years. We tried to trade for AB. We also gambled on Chase Claypool - and before the injury, the team was impressed with how he was handling himself and fitting in. So we know they are not totally risk adverse in this department if they feel the talent is there...and the talent is there. We need to push the chips in - go trade for a WR, spend the picks there - maybe try and add someone like Budda Baker too - and then you got a top 10, potentially top 5 DT sitting right there in free agency who would cost no picks and a cheap contract compared to his talent. And you would think he would love the idea of rehabbing his reputation with an organization like the Bills, especially seeing how other guys have like Bosa this year (his reputation was that he was washed). Queue all the people who hate this idea, and thats all good, everyone entitled to their own opinion. But its time to stop being careful, go get a guy who can come in now and be disruptive if he is ready to play again. He has that mean streak and attitude we dont have enough of on this roster. There may never have been a better year for us to be all in on a Super Bowl than this season right now. It might even be our last best shot as nothing is guaranteed from year to year in this league. He wont cost us our future but could massively impact our present. Edited 8 hours ago by Alphadawg7 3 1 3 Quote

The Trade Deadline is tomorrow. You pass on making a deal for another DT to sign a loose cannon like Christian Wilkins. Then he goes and does... Christian Wilkins things. Well now you're back to square one and can't make a trade for another DT to improve things. The only "no risk" moves are for players at positions where you're already in good shape and if you have to cut them, no big. That's not the situation with us at DT. TBBills Fan Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago I think the fact no one has signed him tells you any talent he has is not worth the headache the head case causes...according to 32 teams 1 1 1 Quote

If he isnt healthy, then I get it. But there has been some talk about other teams looking at him for a few weeks, so my impression is that he is healthy enough to bring in and kick the tires. But I could be wrong, I coudln't find anything that confirmed he wasn't healthy, only stuff about teams whose radar he is supposedly on. 1 minute ago, astb41 said: Josh freakin' hates this guy. there's no way he's ever on the team I promise you Josh hates losing in the playoffs more. 1 Quote
