Mr. Brightside sez: when you sign a player like Hoecht, you hope that he's responsible for adding a win or two by making pivotal plays.

Hoecht made a difference in two games, and without him we very well might've lost yesterday.

Probably not even Bryce Paup either.  In all seriousness, he was a really good fit for this defense and brought a lot of energy and versatility that they are going to miss.

He’s 26 years old. Only has one full starting season (last year) which was his highest sack total (6.) He was definitely trending upwards. Now we’ll probably never know.

Of course he's out for the season... Happens every year then we go into the playoffs with a depleted defense and lose every time... when do we catch a break??

I'm not an X's and O's guy but the difference in the Bills pass rush before and after he left the game looked noticeable to me. If someone here has compared him to Bruce by all means call that person out. In the mean time I'll be thrilled if I see the same pass rush going forward without Hoecht
