The bills with injuries are the exact opposite of lucky. The chiefs have fortunately been very lucky with injuries especially getting close to the post season and beyond. Im not saying the chiefs make it to the SB over the bills because of solely on luck, but one team is CLEARLY  not as lucky when it comes to injuries 

I’m not even sure about that. Last year Rice was a big one. Pacheco wasn’t right when he came back either.

The injuries are now too much to overcome this year.  Save the draft capital, save the cap space, come back better next year.  Nothing we can get at the trade deadline will make up for these losses and get us to the super bowl.  Oliver and hoecht were two difference makers, not replaceable at a trade deadline.

Yeah but there is no reason to think next year will be any better as far as injuries.

Actually I was referring to Oliver as our best defensive player, but Hoecht is definitely one of the only two significant FA acquisitions we made.

He was repeatedly impacting the game at multiple positions and that loss is going to seriously hurt.

Bishop had a good game overall, but also left some gapping holes.  I thought Hairston had good moments as well, but Poyer, White and even Benford did not exactly play well.  We allowed plays of 40 yards, 33 yards (on 3rd & 10), 29 yards (on 4th & 17), 24 yards (on 2nd & 16), 20 yards and another 20 yards.  That's way to many holes in the second exploited for big gains.

Hoect is I think the hardest to replace player. We haven't had him since Lorax. The coaches gonna have some lab work to do now that he's done for the year to figure out how to adjust now

HUGE loss! This kid from the moment he stepped on the field made our pass rush consistent. The minute he left the field we were back to same ol same ol

Losing someone we’ve been waiting so long to get and who seemed to elevate the entire DL is devastating. I’m still sick. 
 

Thank God Max looked good (didn’t lose all our force multipliers).  And, Cole was a force tonight.  Happy thoughts, happy thoughts….

We got 20 catches from Cooper last year for the 3rd round pick.  We can not possibly replace the talent we lost to injury at the trade deadline.  I have no interest in giving up a 3rd for a short term rental who helps us get into playoffs to only lose in divisional round.
