JustHewIt Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago It's amazing how quickly the mood shifted here from "Our defense is bottom of the league and a total joke, we'll never win anything with it" to "is Josh the problem?" All I know is that if Josh is our biggest problem, I'm feeling pretty good about that 3 1 Quote

EmotionallyUnstable Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago No Hairston at all on the report this week so what’s everyone expecting in regards to CB2? I think we’ll see full go this week. 1 1 Quote

The players keep using the company line “it’s just like any other opponent” but that’s BS. I also think the D starts to ball out and become much better in that 2nd half of the season. Quote

H2o Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago The Chiefs are going to load the box against Cook, and take their chances playing a bunch of cover 0. Spags will be dialing up the blitz early. I hope Brady and Josh will be ready for this. The passing game will have to be an extension of the run game this week, just until we can loosen up the box a bit. Slants, quick passes in the flats, quick in routes in space, and it would also be nice if we actually hit on some screen plays as well. We still need to get Cook in space. If they do this, and execute, we will have a chance. The Chiefs are 4th in the league, allowing only 277 yds per game. To me, this feels like the Atlanta game all over again. I don't have much faith in our coaching staff, especially on defense, to come up with a gameplan to stop what the Chiefs do. I think, again, we will see the disparity in coaching rear it's ugly head. 2 3 Quote

Yet some reason, Brady has utterly refused to put Cook in space this season. It's getting bizarre. In clutch moments, he sits the only A+ weapon he has and puts his faith in the C+ firm of Coleman, Moore, Samuels, Johnson, and Shavers. It's like pulling Myles Garrett for Joe Tyron-Shoyinka. 3 Quote

PaattMaann Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Pound the rock and play action. Keys for the offense. Chiefs middle of the pack against the run, worst in the league against play action. On defense, simple...get pressure on Mahomes however you can do it. Don't lose the turnover battle. Bills win. 3 1 Quote
extrahammer Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Call me crazy but I think the Chiefs are coming into Buffalo more limited. Pacheco is out, their left tackle is out and guard is possibly. Bills worst aspect on defense is rush defense and the test just got easier for them on that. We're also discounting the returns of Hoecht, Ogunjobi, and Hairston. This is also Christian Benford's first game against the Chiefs, last year in the Divisionals he got injured on that first play. I think if we can put up 27-30 points we win. - Let James Cook: in 5 total matchups against the Chiefs, Cook has 232 yards, averaging 4.5 ypc, and 5 touchdowns. Keep the Chiefs high-powered offense off the field. - Do something to get Josh in a rhythm early too, like one or two shots down the field, and hopefully he finds a rhythm. 2 Quote

Let them load the box still pound the ball down their ***** throat. We can control the line of scrimmage still. Be the dominant run offense we are capable of being and make them pay for blitzing with quick hit slants to shakir and cook in the flats. Also Josh needs to remember he can run wild too. Quote
Brianmoorman4jesus Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago It’s going to be a weird thing to say or ask for and there’s no way to quantify it…but can we get a game where from whistle to whistle we get nothing but home town calls? Can we see one game where it’s just against the chiefs from the start. Just crush them but also screw them all day. I want the rest of the league to get to have one day where everyone sees the chiefs getting screwed over. It’s always handing them games, let’s get like 13 penalties on KC and just watch em cry for a week 1 Quote

That's the opposite of "finding a rhythm". When you scheme to get the QB in a rhythm, the idea is typically some high percentage pass in the short to medium area. Think some short crossers or short outs. Throwing a lower percentage pass deep down field is counter productive to what you're looking for 2 1 Quote
