Ed Oliver bicep injury - likely out regular season

I had no idea that Hoecht is 310 lbs.  He's now an even bigger addition.

 

Bosa Hoecht Ogun Rousseau should be able to rush the passer well on 3rd downs.

They would have to ask Michael what he's at... He definitely was like 310 at Brown playing on the defensive line 

 

But Sean McVay had him as a chess piece and had him everywhere including outside linebacker.. where he was definitely down to 265 270.. which is huge for an outside linebacker 

 

I did think we were going to transition him fully to the D line so maybe he did bulk back up 

 

JJ Watt was a 297 lb defensive end.. hoecht was my favorite acquisition... He's going to be a fan favorite

Maybe the bills brought it back up.. 310 is huge but he might be way more than 268

I saw they list him at 310lbs, but I’ve also seen interviews with him saying his weight has had huge swings going back to college depending upon what he’s being asked to do. I bet he’s playing closer to 275lbs now the way he moves. 

 

 

….and yes, that does sound interesting for a guy just coming off of suspension. Just keep playing the way you did! I remember watching him in preseason because I had no clue about him or his game, and he made me want to see more. He lived up to it!

We have a screen game... Palmer is the intermediate guy... Coleman is the contested catch specialist who now is playing the role of the intermediate guy but he's not ready for it yet 

 

Kincaid is the focal point of the passing offense 

 

If all of those guys are healthy coming into the playoffs on a cold field where the offense has the advantage because they know where they're going...

 

We have a terrific run game ... And we haven't even opened up Josh Allen's run game.. which will actually open up the pass

 

Dawson Knox is absolutely a top 20 tight end in the league and we don't throw him the ball but he is capable

Kincaid being the focal point is meh 🫤 plus he’s one bad sneeze from being out for the year!! leaving us without a focal point….. it’s time to have more offensive options for Josh!

...... do you live under a rock? Pacheco broke his fibula last year, Mahomes tore Rice's ACL, Hollywood Brown was hurt all regular season last year. Worthy missed 4 games this year. Justin watson missed time. Every team has injuries my man.

Anyone interested in Calais Campbell? He'd have to agree to a trade (no sure thing), but he's still productive: https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/C/CampCa99.htm. AZ's season is probably over given that division and I can see them being sellers.

He had a knee surgery. I don't expect him back quickly.

Seems logical for them to get back a pick that they traded for him.  They gave up 2 6ths for a 7th and Phillips.

It seems like timetables in general are getting shorter on big injuries, in every sport.

 

But the Bills are so cautious.  I could see him back for the playoffs - or yesterday being his last game until September.

Honestly, I don't expect him back this season. These types of injuries take a while to heal after surgery, and then he'll need to get all the strength and mobility back in his arm after having it do very little for a long time. Even if he looks like he's moving the arm well after a few months, he still may not have a lot of his original strength back—to say nothing of the kind of strength he'll need playing D-line and the stress he'll be putting that surgically repaired tendon under.

 

In all likelihood, the better move long-term is to let it heal and get it back as close to normal as possible for next season. But who knows—now that I've said that, I'm sure they'll find a way to prove me wrong.
