He's terrible at mid season WR acquisitions so what would be shocking?

Having a very clear, very obvious need and not addressing it - when he can.

Because Cooper didn't work out doesn't mean someone like Meyers wouldn't.

Not making a trade for even a Meyers-level WR would be kind of a shocking disconnect from the sentiments of the fanbase and almost all of the national sports media. It would be arrogance, imo.

Everyone wants a new WR, but what's the asking price for Meyers?  I think there will be several teams looking to trade for him: 49ers, Steelers, Pats, Pack - which will likely drive up the price, if they indeed trade him.

Just adding "so so" level WRs is why we are in this mess right now.  Meyers is above so-so, but there arent many options- most potential is Saints IMO, but Olave is going to cost alot + Shaheed is the exact type of WR Beane has ignored.

Im not seeing it as arrogance, just that the roster is the roster right now.  They our their faith in several young guys, WR and defense to be honest, and they haven't delivered.

Meyers is a slot WR.

We have 4 slot WR and 1 that can play outside.  No more slot WRs!!!!

Does Beane know anything about building a WR room?

Well thats my point - Meyers isnt what we need.

Its Olave, Moore, Waddle, maybe Shaheed -- thats the list, or we are moving laterally and giving up picks.

Beane clearly hasn't had good success with the WRs lately.  Gone are the Smoke Brown, Beas, Poyer, Hyde type signings --- now we have Samuel, Palmer, Rapp, and multitude of draft picks that look questionable.

"Smoke" Brown 1.0 was a 1 hit wonder--took 115 targets to crawl over the 1000 yd mark as Allen's only legit outside option.  Brown 2.0 was a showcase of Beane's ongoing cluelessness at WR
