Do you really think the Bills are gonna come through on their end of the deal?!

We can only hope.

There’s greatness in both teams.  They both come through in the ‘25 season.

Frazier had "prime time" White, Poyer, Hyde and Taron Johnson.

I know we all hate Babich, but maybe he wouldn't be so bad with those guys playing on the backside.

When White went down in that NO game with his first injury, the pass defense actually improved during the time he was out.

I smell a disappointing upset next Sunday.  I mean, we should win it, but I think our Legion of Room defense is gonna lay another egg when it comes to getting off the field.  It pains me to say...

Bills 23

Panthers 27

While I still cannot understand how anyone is anguishing more over the defense than the current offense (who has struggled more recently imho despite a strong OL and a future HOF QB)...I do agree that the Panthers actually present a specifically challenging matchup for the Bills. They are very physical and aggressive defensively, with heavy run and pass games up front (possibly something you can exploit on the ground and in the screen game) and man coverage on the boundaries. Not unlike the Patriots, but with a much better rushing attack on offense. Not an ideal opponent for the current iteration of the Bills.

One bright spot would be if Bryce Young can't play, or if he does play, he does so with somewhat limited mobility. Apparently, his escapability has been on display during their winning streak, and that's a quality that really exposes the Bills shortcomings in the front 7. While Dalton could potentially execute a quick game and play action passing attack, he is less likely to break contain or elude pressure. If the Panthers are able to establish some success on the ground, then it might not matter who is under center for them. Our D has difficulty against physical, balanced offenses who stay on schedule.

Remember those great times when we do our number two and we know it was a great huge dump that we avoided crapping in our pants? We're smiling. We're relieved. We're no longer aggravated. Great times. Just superb.

Then we see that there is no toilet paper remaining. Just dead silence. Not even a mouse fart.

These are those times.

This thread is too gloomy.

We would have beaten the Falcons with just a teensy bit more health.  Kincaid, or Palmer the full game. We were down to very little in terms of receiving, and even the announcers noted that.

We'll be in better shape this Sunday, and I'm pretty excited to see what Hoecht adds to the D.  Maybe we'll even get a little Hairston.  But it's a big break to have Dalton in there. He's still a capable thrower, but obviously not as elusive when scrambling and we should be able to get good pressure on him.

I think we win this one comfortably.  We've generally done pretty well out of the bye.

Amazing how two games ago we were planning parade routes and now we’re simply  hoping for a strong showing against the Panthers who have a record above .500 for the first time since October 2021.

Like the Falcons, I’m sure Carolina will give us their best effort in weeks and then the following week lose decisively just to rub it in.

The Blue Jays won both of those World Series also which made the Bills lose the Super Bowls.

So we need the Blue Jays to lose this time so the Bills win the Super Bowl.

Greg Rousseau's 2025 PFF overall grade is 83.7 as of mid-October, ranking him 18th among NFL edge rushers.

Not bashing or defending Rousseau but PFF is a joke. They rated Geno higher than Mahomes in the blowout game on Sunday. Any system that could do that after that game is truly flawed.

I do think the Bills will win this week and get to 5-2. But if the Bills want to show everyone, they are back then go beat KC next week to get to 6-2. That would be a statement win. First things first. Get to 5-2.

I know the Chiefs had some dreadful defensive rankings during their earlier SB runs, but they usually stepped up and got stops in the playoffs. We can only hope ours follows a similar path.

The Bills defense that has been beyond bad in the playoffs(historically bad under McDermott) is gonna all the sudden play well against good teams when it’s struggled to stop good or balanced offenses for almost a decade?

One game at a time but while we look at KC we have to notice their defense has not been performing well. Their offense is firing and in a stride but their defense is showing vulnerability this year despite not losing talent or having good cause.

We can notice it - but will we make a gameplan to take advantage of it? I haven't seen that from Brady, I haven't seen any cohesive, in structure pass game that can beat teams for a long while. In fact it doesn't really even look like he thinks about the opposition weakness at all - he just has a plan that he is going with.

We can run it, and amazingly well at times to be fair, but there isn't much behind that - other than "Josh might be amazing"

Fair or not fair? Would love someone to give me some confidence in the plan, but it's the same ***** every week

I keep coming to this chat board to hear that we’ve made a difference making trade.  Can anyone influence the Bills big wigs??

As an NC resident who lived in Charlotte for 20 years and follows the Panthers pretty closely...I have to say... Hearing the local Charlotte radio guy on WGR this morning say fairly confidently that he thinks the Panthers can win this game shows me how far and quickly the Bills have fallen this year...at least in how they are perceived nationally.

I'm not saying the Panthers are a bad team... But they just came off a poor effort barely beating the hapless Jets 13-6 and they lost their starting QB... For anyone to sound that confident they have a chance to beat a team that is still considered by some a SB contender... Well...For me it's proof positive that no matter what happens from this point on...The first 6 games were nowhere near where the Bills were expected to be...

They better beat the Panthers by infinity... I'll never hear the end of it... B-)

this is the problem.  There doesn't seem to be a team in the NFL that the Bills are very obviously better than - parity for sure, but it's almost like the way the Bills are built, that if the other team does one thing well (run, stop the run, pass rush, special teams, whatever) then it turns out thats the achillies heel of the Bills.  I'd love to regain confidence in superman josh bc at this point he's the differentiator if he's tuned in
