Steptide Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago I know this has been me mentioned a little bit in other threads, but it's interesting to me. I went back and looked at the final scores of all the bills games going back to 2020. More often than not, the bills have seemed to lose in mid October, often to inferior teams. I don't know why this is, and obviously it varys a little year to year, but i guess if there is a shimmer of hope after last night, it would be that this is.... Normal(?) for the bills? I encourage everyone to go look at the past 5 seasons, this seems to be a pattern with this bills team. 3 1 Quote
CheshireCT Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago It's true, and as annoying as it is to lose games, especially like this, teams with perfect seasons are pretty rare.... The Chiefs are 3-3 and the Ravens are 1-5, so I would say we're in okay shape right now. This team won't give up. 1 1 Quote
Success Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I have no idea why - but I keep getting vibes from the "Hail Murray" season. I felt a lot about that game like I felt about last night. At the time, it felt like it might completely sidetrack the season - but instead, the team won every game until they lost in the playoffs. I think w/ the bye, and getting back to some health, AND hopefully a trade for a WR - we can go on a good run. 1 Quote

Weeks 9 & 10 of 2017 were so bad, we were excited Peterman was going to start. Quote
Sweats Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago We usually **** the bed a couple of games every October, tighten things up in November and then make a run in December...........it's never easy with this team to just come out strong right out of the gate. 1 Quote
Andrew Son Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I don't care to follow that line of thought. This was the year to finally secure the 1 seed, everything was lined up. And now here we are... 1 Quote
Donuts and Doritos Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago The teams that fix their issues & get hot at th end are the ones who win it all. Not those that peak too soon. Question is can we fix it & get hot. Changes are surely coming during the bye. Guess we're going to find out. 2 Quote

Because Matt Milano can’t stay on the field. We knew Hyde and Poyer were going to keep us protected. This offense will need to score 30 plus a game vs good offenses. The defense only gets better if it gets healthy, Bishop gets better, and the suspended guys are good. Lots of ifs there that we had before the season but bc Beane didn’t do anything we were confident Bishop would make that leap and that Rapp was important. 1 Quote
Mrbojanglezs Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Same old. Slumps to inferior teams. Defensive coach with sub par defense especially in the playoffs. Poor drafting in first two rounds. Allen's prime years wasting. 2 Quote
Captain_Quint Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago They have also lost two games in a row for the past 5 years. Even with three 13 win seasons, they dropped two games in a row every year. And alot of them are to inferior opponents or teams that we could have beat if we brought our A game that day. So we'll see how 2025 plays out now that we have dropped 2 in a row. We should have a string of wins coming up if we continue this same trend. We've also never dropped 3 straight in that same time period. Quote
ngbills Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago The Bills dont address positions in the offseason - they dont need to, we have Allen and McD can scheme around it. They suck in preseason - dont worry about its just preseason. They are 4-2 with most wins against atrocious teams and have not looked very good on either side of the ball - dont worry about it its just the October blues. The writing is on the wall. This team needs help at least at WR and DB. If they do nothing to improve it would not be shocking to see them finish 10-7, lose the division, and fighting for the last playoff spot. Quote
Big Turk Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago (edited) It's annoying this team seemingly goes on cruise control after a few weeks of the year where they have it easy and then have to get smacked back into reality that it isn't easy if you don't put the work in ahead of time. Happens every year and every year they course correct and get it humming the further into the season they get. Don't expect it to be any different this time. There are a lot of details that are not being attended to properly by this team mentally and it's showing up on the field. And I want to know if this is a known thing why McDermott keeps allowing it to happen and doesn't make them aware of this troubling trend. Edited 3 hours ago by Big Turk 1 Quote
colin Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago we have one total trucking game every year, we have two losses in a row, almost always in late sep/oct every year, and our d always has drives/games/several games where it looks totally fragile and allows explosive plays underneath (runs and shorter/mid passes) and also either gets take aways or attacking stops. i suppose we have to just accept that this is the rhythm of this team. the team will be better this year if and only if the defensive reinforcements get us over the hump and the O just figures out what it is good at and does it well instead of this gadget trash. honestly, we have had the too cute on O stuff many times in the past where a couple of simple plays might have won us the game. it does get tiring, but this is nothing new. It's dumb to think teams arnt gonna get better and kc was gonna win 6 games this season 1 Quote
