waterglass Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Other than Josh Allen, Beanes drafts have been historically poor since his arrival here. So have many free agent signings. Most always seem to be injured. So is the word out on Beane that Buffalo is a lazy boy rocking chair, grab some easy money and cash in and out location? Can you name other superstar as most other teams have several on each . Remember 37th draft overall receiver Zay Jones anyone? How about hands of clay Charles Clay who dropped a sure touchdown. No, we didnt draft him but Beane signed him so his miscues also go beyond the draft. The constant and ongoing drafts of undersized defensive lineman may be on coach McDermott. That would include numbers 50, 57 and 91. Good, but NOT championship caliber. How about our #1 Elam. Hes just not a bad #1 hes trending to be removed from the league based on his last game with Dallas. Sounds just like his games here. So how did our scouts not see this coming? "Pass interference on Elam – The Dallas defense was on the verge of making its second key stop late in the fourth quarter and had the Panthers in third-and-7 at their own 17-yard line. But just like the officials had called most of the day, the Cowboys this time were flagged for pass interference on Kaiir Elam. That gave Carolina an extra set of downs, and after a huge fourth-down conversion to receiver Hunter Renfrow, the Panthers were able to run the ball down the Cowboys' throat again to kick the chip-shot field goal for the win." Then we have Keon Coleman. I cant blame him as he is who he is. The entire league knew about him but Brandon Beane thinks hes Bill Polian drafting Thurman Thomas. Cement trucks just cant move fast nor will they get faster beyond age 20. MEMO TO: Terry Pegula. You hired coach. Coach gets a pass. Beane, specifically his scouts are holding back your organization. Fix this sooner rather than later. Think about your kids as they are fans also. 1 Quote

He lied to media and fans about replacing Diggs and now teams having caught on to the mediocre group of receivers 2 1 Quote

A new GM will probably want to bring in his own HC rather than be forced to work with McDermott especially if the new GM's philosophy on building a football team doesn't match up well with Sean's. 3 2 Quote
Southern Bills Fan Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Looking at the last 5 or 6 drafts, it's even worse than I thought. You should get starters in rounds 1 and 2 and serviceable backups in 3 and 4 and find a gem once in a while later. Beane finds a gem once in a while in the late rounds but the early picks are shockingly bad. 1 1 Quote
D. L. Hot-Flamethrower Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago (edited) Yes Beane needs to take the Lion's share of the blame, his last couple of drafts in particular look really bad. McDermott can right the ship by demanding/doing a couple things. 1. Demand that we get a playmaker on the outside(Jeudy?) and better yet 2 of them. This defense has no chance if our offense isn't percolating and right now we DO NOT have the personnel. 2. Fire Babich and promote one of his D position coaches (Holcomb or Nielsen). We need a fresh approach on that side of the ball. He is overmatched and our guys still can't get lined up. Other than that, we have to hope for improved health, getting guys back from suspensions and improvement from young guys. Edited 4 hours ago by D. L. Hot-Flamethrower Quote
BuffaloRebound Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago (edited) Things look pretty bleak right now but we’re 4-2 with our 2 DL/LB free agent pickups set to return and our 1st round CB also slated to return. On offense, We gave Coleman 6 weeks to show he can be a weapon. Now it’s time to move on and trade for some juice on offensive side of ball. The penalties, turnovers, and play calling are all correctable. Best case we get healthy on D, Hairston and the new comers help and on O we trade for a WR and backup RB with juice, Brady pulls his head out of his a$$ and mcdermott starts cracking the whip cutting down on the penalties. bubba2018 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Yes our coaching is terrible, but MY GOD we have drafted terribly and re signed mediocre players. We don’t really have anyone all that good!!! Quote

ngbills Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Other than Allen there is nothing Beane has done that any GM could do. Even just throwing darts or picking names from a hat for drafts and free agency would yield at least similar results. Especially since the focus seems to be on swing for singles and rarely taking chances. The Von Miller signing is really the only high risk move they’ve made and that did not work out. Quote
Giuseppe Tognarelli Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Bills bye week/upcoming weeks plan: *Fire Bobby Babich, McDermott take over playcalling for this year, hire a new defensive coordinator with a new system next year *Fire Joe Brady, Aaron Kromer takes over the offense *Bench Terrel Bernard and strip captaincy, install Shaq Thompson as starting MLB *Bench Taylor Rapp, start Poyer, trade for/sign veteran S *Bench Tre'Davious White, trade for/sign veteran CB *Trade Keon Coleman (this will never happen because Beane would be admitting his Worthy mistake, plus admitting he was the fool in the offseason when he went off on Jeremy and Joe about not needing a receiver) *Get back: Kincaid, Samuel, Palmer, Hairston, Milano, Hoecht, Ogunjobi *Activate Gabe Davis *Cut Shavers Team moving forward -- listing players who would actually play: Allen Cook Johnson Davis Kincaid Knox Hawes Palmer Samuel Shakir Moore Davis (with Brady gone and the team using normal NFL schemes, this group is fine -- Moore and Samuel are way better than they've been being used) Dawkins Edwards McGovern Torrence Brown (Anderson) Prater/Wishnowsky/Ferguson Rousseau Walker Oliver Bosa Epenesa Jones Ogunjobi Hoecht Thompson Milano Williams (Bernard) Benford Hairston Johnson (he's washed but we have no alternative) **veteran (White) Bishop Poyer **veteran Hancock (Rapp) 1 1 Quote
wnyguy Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago This is all on Beane, his inability to get a #1 WR hurts us more than any shortcomings on our defense. Allen has no one he can rely on down the field, he's handcuffed. 1 1 Quote
LabattBlue Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago 1 - Josh Allen will always help cover up their shortcomings. 2 - Pegula can’t trust himself to hire replacements for either guy. Just look at the friggin’ mess of his other team. 14 years and no playoffs and no light at the end of the tunnel. 2 Quote

How about you write about the Cook arguement on the sideline with McDermott. I hear a potential mutiny is in the offing. So when your in the kitchen preparing Terrys meal on his $100 million boat think about whose money you sucked from New York State and Erie county. Your concern with what I wrote is telling as to why are you here? You offer nothing, say nothing except to mock others? Right 1 Quote
The Firebaugh Kid Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago He overthinks the draft in the early rounds, and fails alot. He does a great job in the later rounds. PS Keon has a cool yellow jacket. Quote

Not to mention at a time when the bills were nearing the gap with the chiefs, a guy named creed Humphries who every draft analyst thought for sure was going to the bills, beane takes boogie. And gives the already SB caliber chiefs a top 5 center on a rookie deal. And the bills light that pick on fire. You let the chiefs jump you and take mcduffie, and we get Elam. You TRADE with chiefs and they get worthy, we get keon. While your issue at wr was seperation you take keon who has ZERO seperation in college and leave ladd on the board. I've been pounding the table for years now, the problem isnt mcD. He isn't an elite coach but hes a good enough coach thats been given a team full of jags outside of allen and maybe 3 other great players. Other than the 13 second debacle, the bills haven't had coaching issues its been a talent acquisition issue. Edited 3 hours ago by Norcalbillsfan Quote
