That's on Beane.  And the coaching staff.  Its the same management team going into its 9th year.  Many in the league have caught up to the Bills, and passed them with how they run their teams, and play the game.  We look old slow and disinterested.   We have wasted so many high picks in the Beane regime.  And traded for has beens like Amari Cooper.  These next two weeks will be very pivotal for this season.  And beyond. 

 

You have to wonder how happy Josh is playing for an organization that seems like it has fallen way behind how the game is now being played.

I was at the game tonite.  Watching Keon try and run boundary routes is just painful.  Even Shavers is better.  And he still isn't anything close to being good.

 

Not sure why Keon runs nothing breaking towards the post or the middle of the field.  He has no idea how to adjust his body, his feet and get his hands up to have any chance of catching anything on the sideline with a DB anywhere near him.  Why are we running that nonsense with him?  And what did we see in drafting him as a high 2nd round pick.  He has no better skills than Shavers, (less speed) and Shavers was an undrafted free agent.  Beane McDermott and our assistant coaches are running this franchise into the ground.  

 

And why does Bishop look so lost?  Didn't he play at Utah, a really solid college program with a real good coach?  He comes to the Bills and looks awful.  Get Hancock on the field ASAP.  The kid started on Ohio State's Nat championship team.  My god, look at the WR's he went up against every day in practice.  They are all 1st round picks.  Its not that hard.  Get guys on the field who can run hit and tackle people.  That's what football is on defense.  Why draft a guy from a program like that if he isn't going to play?  (instead we go with Rapp, Poyer, Bishop and Cam Lewis.  And if Hamlin wasn't hurt, he would be ahead of Hancock also.)  Are we purposely trying to embarrass ourselves?  Has Bishop made a big hit coming up on a play once since entering the league?  My goodness, what is the team looking at when it scouts players?  Landon Jackson had no idea what he was doing when he was playing late in the game.  And we took him in the 3rd round.  Why?  

 

Most of our draft picks suck.  And at least half the defense is always injured.  And we have nothing at WR.  Something has gone very wrong.

It’s aggressive but I think they were giving him to the bye. It feels like every week, the defense comes out sloppy and unfocused and misaligned for the 1st half.

I agree.  I’m normally the last to want to fire any coach mid season, but this defense looks worse by the week.  The Pegulas won’t fire McD or Beane, but Babich needs to go.  Robinson is a heck of a back, but 170 yards from him alone.  This is getting ridiculous.

The team needs a shake up. They're too comfortable. Even now the suspended guys just take the roster spot of guys on IR. 

 

I think a coach needs to go. It's a personnel issue as much as a coaching issue but Babich probably needs to go.

 

Beane needs to make a big move too. Send a message that if you're not performing your job is in jeopardy.

 

Genuinely believe an issue on this team right now is they're all so close to each other (including coaches) and there isn't enough accountability

It's radical but I would replace Brady and take playcalling away from Babich. Second half D looked better under McD, just stick with that.

 

Offense is poorly coached, and just plain stupid. No passes to Cook and Ty on the field for fourth down? End arounds on short yardage?

 

Brady has been figured out. And he doesn't seem to be quick enough at adapting to match wits with the better defensive coaches in the NFL.

Shakira wouldn't survive on the outside unfortunately. He doesn't have the size to win on a jump ball, he doesn't have the elite speed break away, he does not have overall ability shake and push through with size like diggs. 

 

That's why he was not a first round pick.

We have terrible leadership on this team and Josh is giving up.  I hope he goes to California and gets away from these vampires for a while and comes back refreshed.  Not that it’ll matter much with the island of misfit toys on both sides of the ball.  

 

Bills games are pretty much unwatchable now.  We’ve got Jauron without the defensive competence.

I am against any trades unless we sell something and gain draft capital.

The bills have been drafting in the 28 to 30 range for the past 5 years or so and the teams that have been perennially drafting in the top ten during that period will now have superior talent.

The Bills lack talent all over the field and a trade or two will not fix that.  

I am for moving up in the 2026 NFL Draft and selecting a stud difference maker. 

Not trading for an A. Cooper or K. Benjamin type at this point.

I’m not sure Josh is wired like that. The first step, imo would be holding their feet to the fire. Basically, calling shots in terms of players and coaches. I said it in another thread but he could go into LeBron territory. FWIW, I don’t think that would be a bad thing. He will demand change before he demands a trade IMO.

Maybe not but he'll be 30 next year. From Cali, married to a Hollywood starlet, lives in SoCal and wants to win a SB before retiring. 

 

It may be time for him to step up and ask for change. 

 

Look what Baker is doing with his wideouts - Evans, Godwin, Egbuka. Who do we have ?

Benford even when playing healthy has been awful. The Linebackers are awful too. Even our punter is awful and heck, lets put the oft injured kicker Bass in there too lol 😂

Fair points. He just feels like the small town guy with small town values still. I’m not sure we would ever even publicly hear him ask for change. We will hear signs though in his interviews. I’m going to listen for criticism. He hinted at it last week with their level of play as of late. He may start to float some of that there while pushing Beane/McDermott/Pegula behind the scenes.

With the trade deadline approaching the pressure is 100% on Beane. He needs to go get a legit #1 WR to help Allen and Cook. Shakir is a good WR, but he is more suited as a #3 or even a decent #2 but he isn't a #1. The Bills can't get by with just two weapons on offense at the skill positions. With the defense we have to hope the players coming back from injury and suspension will help shore up that side of the ball. One thing is for certain watching last night is Allen and Cook alone cannot get this team to a Super Bowl much less win one. They need help if they want to get past KC in the playoffs. Brandon needs to be active this trade deadline and get them another playmaker on offense. Kincaid getting healthy will also help on that side of the ball.

WR absolutely.  We also need another RB. The drop off when Cook goes off the field is enormous and he comes off the field a lot.  

I’m not wasting any future draft capital on McDermott’s garbage defense.  If the guy can’t put a decent defense on the field in Year 9 with the resources theyve already spent its time to move on.
