His QB's those two years were a end of the line Tannehill, Will Levis, and Dobbs.

 

He's 58-47 with a bunch of 3rd rate QB's. He's never been part of a 1st round pick at QB. I would say he's done a pretty good job.

They drafted Malik Willis while he was there too.    He had plenty of chances to draft and develop a young QB during his time there.   Part of being a head coach is helping to evaluate which QB to draft, and then when given that player to help him develop.   Part of that is on Vrabel.  Had Allen not developed McDermott wouldnt have a job either.

He’s an off coach who needs off talent that he does not have.

He's honestly one of the worst game/clock management coaches I have ever seen. He cost the Chargers a lot of games with his mismanagement. He's also interviewed here IIRC for the OC position in McDermott's early days

It's really not though, Reich was fired during Bryce's rookie year, Eberflus was fired during Caleb's rookie year, Meyer with Lawrence, Fischer with Goff, and Hue with Baker  and now this. 

 

It's becoming more common with expected results out of the gate with high QB picks.

On the surface, Brady reunited with Burrow and Chase would be a good combo. Until Brady yells EVERYBODY EATS and Chase and Higgins are rotating and seeing a 40% snap share each lol

If position coaches could make the HOF, his dad would make it for O-line coach. Other than that he had no business getting a HC job. Still pales in comparison to Nathaniel Hackett getting a HC job.

I had Daboll as first fired coach during the preseason. Yes, that win may have bought him some more time. I still think he's gone at the end of the year 

It depends on how it goes with Dart. If they finish 7-10 that means they went 7-7 with Dart and were competitive. Just depends.
