Pretty much as simple as ATL decided cook wasn’t going to beat them. Ty is a better screen and receiving back 1 Quote
Niagara Dude Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago End of the day Brady is killing this team, they need to score points to win with this defence and our defence despite not playing great got enough stops for the Bills to win this game and then just ran out of gas because our offence could not do anything after that first drive to begin the 3rd quarter I thought the stupid jet sweep on 3rd and short was a back breaker and why can't we get our most explosive offensive player Cook involved more in the passing game? 1 3 Quote
Aesop Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago (edited) Yes, losing sucks. But being 4-2 is not the end of the world. The parody of the NFL is alive now more then ever. This season we have seen the Panthers beat the Cowboys, the Giants beat the Eagles and Chargers, the Browns beat the Packers, the Jags beat the Chiefs and the Falcons beat the Bills. The level of competition has been narrowed. "Life is a game of inches", as Al Pacino said. Any Given Sunday is here folks. Although it will rip our hearts out as fans, its great for the NFL. With that said, there is plenty of ball left to be played, we have alot to clean up as a team but I BILLieve this team still has alot left in the tank. Just get to the playoffs, anything can happen. Beane keeps going back to retreads and washed up veterans while these other teams have been loading up on talent and it shows. And McDermott has no answers. Though this is partly the point of the draft and SoS - to even the playing field. You have to have at least an extremely smart GM or HC to keep things ticking over. The Bills seem to have neither. BuffaloBillyG Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Wow. Back to back losses headed into the bye. Both on national TV. How embarrassing. Hopefully, the extra week allows Beane to reflect, pick up a few things we need moving forward. Still a lot of season to go. As for tonight (well the last 2 weeks combined), I'm past it already. A lot of people have a lot of big feelings right now. I get it. But while many here still wail about 13 seconds so many years later...I'm actually greatful for it. I spent most of that off-season absolutely gutted. Depressed. Then, I see pictures of the players that actually played in the game laughing, smiling, enjoying a nice tropical vacation....and it hit me. If they aren't upset then why should I be? There's definitely more important things in life than other men playing football. As for me, I'm on to the bye week. Time to disengage from NFL football for the next 13 days, do some early Christmas shopping with the wife and get things set up for the kids annual Halloween party. See you all in a couple weeks! 6 Quote

McD had everything to do with drafting Bernard. His kind of guy. Quote

I don't think Beane goes rogue when year after year he way over invests in the DL while leaving scraps for the passing game. That is an organizational direction and I believe McDermott steers that direction. I'm not defending Coleman anymore. He hasn't progressed at all. Of course I have been consistent in wanting way more investment at that position. I'll take the L on Coleman as a prospect, I was 100% right about the room though. It's deflating to watch my worst fears come true. McDermott has made 3 coordinator hires since Daboll and Frazier left. Babich, Dorsey, Brady. 3 internal hires, two of which turned out horribly, one of which is turning out mediocre. So yes he gets his share of the blame for the team falling out. We have these ridiculous godawful slumps every single year and this year it might have finally cost us the division. That if nothing else should spell his fate. They had to trade for Cooper last year and didn't do much this year. What get's me mad. They knew they had a weakness in this area... Quote

Point is investing in DL is ALWAYS needed, bc Beane and his scouts are HORRIBLE at evaluating. WR room same thing 1 1 Quote

He has had an awful season, is constantly out of place and seems really slow for being a speed guy. So frustrating. Someone else said it but the defense looked better with him (and Bishop, obviously) out. Quote
iwishitwerecolder Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago I’m sorry but the fact we have to watch another 20+ years of Drake maye and Mike vrabel in the playoffs is sickening and this team is TERRIBLE 1 1 2 Quote

Green Lightning Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago (edited) This is on Beane. Pays a lot for midling talent and only Josh and Cook are bonafide threats. Refuses to draft or acquire speed at wideout and has mini-me LBs that cannot take a 17 game pounding. Our secondary is dreadfully slow. The D line is always clise but seldom finishes. Let's see what retreads he comes up with in the bye week. So, who can this team beat? All the teams we beat had a losing record. Any team with a few wins, we lose.
