We beat the Ravens with pretty much all of their starters in.  Likely was the only big name I recall not playing.  Lamar plays last 2 weeks, they probably win.  I dont downplay the Bills beating the Ravens. 

 

Bills need to frigging get healthy...our D isn't lights out when healthy.  But we can easily survive with our Offense.  But with injuries we have, it makes it so much harder to compensate.

Maybe I'm in denial, but I see a lot of hype based on people needing the Pats to be a villain again.  Let's see a few 4th quarter comeback drives. Let's see a 300 yard game.  He has done extremely little for the wild hype he is getting right now.

 

I mean, I certainly hope you're right. But I can't get on board with saying Maye is being wildly overhyped. It is undeniable that he is playing some outstanding football. It's not like the Pats are 4-2 but winning in spite of him.

but we were very lucky to win that game...i think it's fair to have questions about the bills rn

Maye looks really good. He’ll never have the athleticism of Josh, Lamar or Mahomes but he can get it done. It’s disconcerting knowing there’s an up and coming stud QB in the division.

So they’ve basically turned into Jets fans who actually had turned into Dolphins fans when tua first broke through.

 

As a football fan I’m happy for the competition, as a Bills fan I’ve seen this story before and I’m gonna wait till I see someone take this crown away from Beane, McDermott and Allen

I'm not too worried about last week's game on account of the Shawn Hochuli factor. I think it sucked the wind out of our sails beyond just the calls that were made. We need a game against the Patriots without an official who has a massive statistically provable bias against the Bills to really know how we match up.

Honestly, that really was ridiculous.

 

It was a disservice to both teams. That game never got in a rhythm.  Officials should NEVER take over the game like that.

He’s not Josh and probably never will be as his athleticism is not on level as Josh but he is really good. Also a better decision maker and accurate than Josh was year 2.  We need to hold them off next few years while still on rookie deal. Go Bills

I'd expect a little less chicken little and a little more faith in the fact that the Bills program is ahead of where the Patriots is right now.     The Patriots look good, but until they win the division I want to err on the side of caution because two years ago I was told the Dolphins were going to win the division, the year after that I was told it was the Jets year.    Vrabel is a fantasic coach, but he's made the playoffs 3 of 6 years.  McDermott is 7 of 8 right now.  That and the Bills have Josh Allen.  

 

If the Patriots win the division, good for them, but until they have sustained success I am not going to worry about handing them over the division.  They are in a great position with a QB on a rookie contract.  In a few years that wont be the case.  Unless they close the gap before then I am not going to clutch my pearls.

I think some competition for the division would be a good thing in the long run. Too long we have done the "run it back" method and brought back players we should have upgraded because, well...we won the division. Made the playoffs. Even won a game or two. 

 

I think some fear of losing the division may motivate Beane to upgrade a little more urgently.

I just watched the highlights from today. It almost reminded me of Tua when he first had Hill & Waddle.  I get that the Pats receivers aren't at that level - but they were as wide open as those guys can get, and a couple of times they had to slow down to catch the ball.

 

Allen so rarely has guys that open, way downfield.  Maye looked solid, but they hype is over the top.  He'll have a "pump the brakes" game soon, imo.

However anecdotal, further proof of this would be the long TD pass to Douglas today... The Pats sent 2... 2 WR's into routes and had a check down on that play today. The Saints had Douglas bracketed. But watch Maye, they dialed that one up special. And good grief that Saints Safety helped them... But there are 4 Saints Defenders covering no one on that play... One of the TD's to Boutte there are 3 Saints Defenders in the vicinity... They are just brutally attacking secondaries, they have no run game at all, and none of their receivers is Ja'Marr Chase...

I mean... Come on folks... We have Josh Allen... This is a problem...
