For all you McDermott haters, who would you want?

I just think McDermott's problem is he has never looked to hire a big name defensive cordinator and that side of ball has aways been the problem come playoff time

I've been told by so many to enjoy the "ride" and entertainment value of this team during the regular season. I've been told that our D is basically top10 every year. I've been told that McD is never getting fired under any circumstances.  I've been told not to stress out too much if we don't go to a SB.  I would've loved to see Ben Johnson take over this offense and maybe hire someone like Schwartz.  But what do I know??

Vrabel is literally McD but punts on 4th and 1 instead of going for it.

I want a SB win. I don't care how they do it. Or who they do it with.

Maybe but defensive coaches are a little notorious for allocating resources for their defense above all else so I’d be nervous about more of the same.

 

its okay if the defense delivers occasionally but that’s a lot to risk.

 

I’d like Josh’s next OC to be his last for a consistent offensive system and team building vision.

If we TRULY had a chance to get Sean McVay, you ABSOLUTELY make that deal. I would take Gruden over McDermott too. The only thing left would be finding the right DC.

Philly is much more about having a good GM than a good coach imo. Beane unfortunately is not anywhere near as good as Roseman.

Brady. Hire him as HC so the offense stays the same and hire an old HC to coach the Defense. Wade Phillips etc I want a total new voice running the defense. The rest of the team is fine. I don’t even care if McDermott stays on as HC he just can’t have anything to do with the defense

I'm honestly asking, do you think we have a "good" offense?  Or does Allen just hide most of the warts that have been there for years?

He did the same thing with Tennessee.  Only Belechick has beaten McD more times than Vrabel I believe.

He's also reactive and plays not to lose, and it's created this atmosphere where the team turtles in big moments because they have no moxie or swagger whatsoever.

We'll see how the rest of the season goes and who is available, but right now I think it would be pretty easy to just promote Joe Brady.

We have a good offensive line

 

We are missing the element that most of the great offenses/QB's have which is either a stud wideout that does it all and demands safety help, or a burner like Worthy that must be accounted for

 

I'm not the biggest Brady fan either, but maybe he knows the offenses limitations and his offense is designed to try and compensate for that deficiency
