When I saw Gabriel play at Oregon I checked his height because there had to be a reason he wasn’t in early first round consideration. 5’11”. So third round makes a lot of sense. Murray is 5’10-1/8”. Even with his running ability I didn’t understand Arizona spending the first overall pick on him.

Thanks for the info on his height.  It might very well be the reason Gabriel was never considered as a first round pick.  Maybe the Browns catch lightning in a bottle like the Seahawks did in 2012 when Wilson fell to the third round because he was dismissed because of his height.

Gabriel is dealing now.

I guess it's not automatic that the team staying in Europe over two weeks (Vikings) has an advantage over the team arriving same week.

I HATE when low-round rookie QBs succeed more than anything else in this league. My least favorite player in the NFL is Brock Purdy. I hated Russell Wilson for years.  I am starting to hate Gabriel's pretty-boy face more and more every minute.

Tom Brady is undoubtedly the poster boy for said hatred, is he not?

Agreed. The Browns have their defense set. in addition to a QB, they also need a lot of OL help and another quality starting WR, but they can do that in one offseason - especially with two first round picks next draft. If they did find their QB in Gabriel then they’re a year away IMO.

Oh yeah. I hate how people always argue that Belichick was some sort of genius for drafting Brady. If he knew Tommy would be anywhere near that good, they wouldn't have picked all those other guys ahead of him. It's just luck. The 49ers get a franchise guy with the last pick in the draft, while other teams draft guys up and down the draft for years and hit on none of them. I guess if any team is due some luck it's Cleveland so this is less awful than watching Purdy lead the league in passing. FWIW, I still don't think Gabriel will work out.

These guys complain about CTE after they retire, but they let their mouthguards hang from their helmets like truck nutz. Wearing a mouthguard is one of the simplest things a player can do to prevent concussions.

Myles Garrett is who people pretended Micah Parsons is.

Absolute monster.

If Myles Garrett had played for the Cowboys, he would be the biggest star in the league.

As far as I’ve seen, everyone has acknowledged that Garrett is the better player, he’s the best defender in the league. But Parsons is a monster in his own right. To think otherwise is just hating on him.
