IF.  I can do math.  You just keep hoping for loses and I'll keep hoping for wins.

I don't need to make that any clearer.

I'm not hoping for losses. It sucks that the division just became  much tougher to win.

We need defense reinforcements. When are the defensive suspended players  coming back? What about Maxx Hairston? Ed Oliver?

Oof, gives some props to the Patriots but the Bills also looked flat all night.

The realists are up to saying that it’s a long season and every team has a game like this.  Most teams that turn the ball over 3 times and have penalties hurt them on almost every drive, offense and defense, lose this game by 30.

I thought a realist would be saying that a game like this can cost you the 1 seed ..but ultimately the fortunes of the team will be determined in January …

His red zone pick was terrible too. We had 3 points there. That last Pats kick would have been to go to OT.

not to rip Josh too much, but he also blew it on our first red zone trip. Was supposed to hand the ball to Ty on a sweep on 3rd down, which was wide open. Instead of trusting him, he kept the ball And got nailed and had to flip it for like a 5-yard loss (and two penalties).

Oliver is another weird one with fans…he’s one of the better pass rushing DTs in the league every year and lots of people hate him still 😂

It’s because 2 better DTs went later in the first in the same draft. He is good just not dominant like we need him to be as our only top 10 pick of the Josh Allen era

I guess you missed Saquon play against the Giants last season.

But they were a last place joke.

Im talking about a SB contender.

This is a tough loss but you have to learn from it.   Allen regressed when they needed him to be poised.  Looking deep when he had open short routes.  Specially on the last drive.  Dink and dunk chews up yards and clock.

bobby babich must go

You could replace him with a cardboard cutout and the defense wouldn't change one bit. It's been the same for 8 years regardless of who is calling the plays. What does that tell you

the defense wasn't great but it was far from their worst game. Maye and the receivers made some plays

It was a terrible night for the secondary but the rest of the D (minus Milano) wasn’t all that bad. Much improved I’d say but teams will just target White all day so it doesn’t really matter. Rapp and Benford are very average players too. Big trouble ahead unless the lineup changes and we can’t count on rookie Hairston to save us.

Nope I was thinking as Inread the thread “typical Bills fans over reacting” You guys are such gloom and boomers even telling you your team be fine gets some sort of angry response.. like how dare I say your Bills are still the class of the AFCE..

You think that we think being the class of the pathetic AFC East is a compliment?

This is true.

But again.  That Pats offense isn’t even a top 10 O we will see the rest of the way.

And we allowed 340 yards and 23 points.

The D has issues for sure and we played like crap generally. A lot of those yards were our inability to tackle and finish plays. It wasn't guys running wide open all night or getting blown off the ball.  Pats were the more disciplined team and made the important individual plays. I'm just not too concerned about this in week 5.

Me and JaCrispy warned ya well before this game tonight.

Patriots is a nice team this season. They will be in the playoffs. Their defense is extremely tough.

We will be in the playoffs, too.

We lost the battle tonight. Most of us know why. It's our defense. It's McDermott/Babich. Some stupid offense from Brady. It's time for our team to review all their crap from tonight and eat some humble pie.

Some of our fan base who keep defending McDermott, have your slice, brahs. There are plenty to feed all of ya.

The Patriots didn't impress me at all

They proved they can steal an ugly game where they had massive help from the zebras...that's it

Our defense did it's normal collapse when we needed a stop. That happens against any opponent

Just an atrocious showing and a head scratcher on both sides of the ball, including a lot of the play calling.

Let's be honest, Josh sometimes still makes stupid decisions, you would think after all these years he'd be a little bit smarter and it's not like the Patriots defense is World beaters. He had wide open receivers five, eight, ten yards down the field and he dilly-dallyed with the ball back and forth rather than just throwing to one of the guys in the flats right in front of him. And McDermott is the same as always, he'll never change.

They've had a weak schedule and they have problems on both sides of the ball talent-wise and you would think after all these years with all the assets that Beane has put into the defense, it would be better. And every year they need a top-tier wide receiver with speed that can separate and open things up, and every year, Beane and McDermott do the same *****. This team would be one and done in the playoffs.

This was an inexcusable loss!

Allen doesn't have his A+ game and offense looks terrible

Same as it ever was

Who is going to take the #1 seed then? Ravens are down and out, Chargers are Chargering (lost to a much worse team than the Pats). Bills could still have a 2 game lead on KC with a head-to-head later in the season after tomorrow night.

I guess if you believe in the Colts, Steelers or Jags. Bills are still in the driver's seat for the #1 seed (especially if we beat KC in our matchup).

Only he's not.

He's not a finisher

He's an "advanced metric" guy

Only positive is it took the Patriots 3 turnovers, a bunch of penalties, horrible defense and a washed up Trey White to beat us by 3 points.

Bills looked old and slow on defense and wide receivers were not helping Josh most the game.  Bills were exposed in this game.
