The offense wasn't in rthym & Josh was in his own head. The penalties absolutely killed us too. Playing clean, not taking sacks & not turning the ball over is how we've been successful despite lacking a lot of talent, but tonight we didn't do any of that.

This.  Without the last two turnovers we probably score 30 easily and win by double digits, just like last week. People would have still bished about the defense though, because that’s what they do.

It just feels like we'll need some luck to actually get a title.  I guess you can say that about almost any title team - but it's just more so w/ us.

Allen is as good as anyone out there, but the team is just lacking. Always.  We don't have the big playmakers that you need on both sides of the ball.

I'm reserving full pessimism until we get Hairston & the suspended guys back & see if it makes any kind of dramatic impact.  I'm not holding my breath, though.  I hate to be so negative. I mean, we MIGHT win it all this year. But we'll need some bounces w/ the way this team is.

They will need luck imo. Specifically what they need is the #1 seed and to avoid the KC Chiefs in the playoffs. Without that, I think they’ll fall short.

Josh literally got saved on that PI, he didn't play well. We turned the ball over far too many times tonight.

Which pi?  The one where cook got shoved out of bounds with the ball in the air? lol. I mean I don’t think it was his best game either for sure  but that was an obvious pi

This is a really good point.  I mean, they basically won by a long FG after we turned it over 3x and committed more penalties than I can remember us ever committing.

I'm starting to calm down.  It's good to put it in perspective.

He's played big boy football in SEC...elite speed...other teams can start rookies and they show.  Why not us.

We’ve started four rookies by my count this year.

This “McD doesn’t play rookies” is one of the biggest canards going.  He plays guys when they earn playing time and he doesn’t give a ***** how much service time they have or where they were drafted.

Just don't think too hard about how we win by double digits scoring 30 when the other guys have 23

By “score 30 easily,” I meant score more than 30.  And they wouldn’t have kicked that FG at the end, because they would have needed more.

it’s not that hard.

Show of hands.  Who thought the Bills were going undefeated?

They didn't play their best.  They lost.  Them's the breaks.

And they lost by 3. With three turnovers. If Josh doesn’t throw that red zone pick, the Bills win. If the refs don’t throw that bogus red zone OPI flag, the Bills win. If that fumbled kickoff falls to the Bills, they probably take control of the game in the first half and win. Everything went wrong, and they lost by 3. The Rams lost and the Eagles lost but I’m sure no one here would declare them suddenly 9-win teams in danger of missing the playoffs. We get so emotional, but all this was is a week 5 loss. But all of a sudden our roster is the worst in the NFL, when it’s the same roster that won 13 games last year. Yeah, it especially sucks to lose to the Pats because of the loudmouth fans and Diggs’ gloating on IG live after the game, but it’s only one early-season game. Go Bills!

Penalties and bad offense were a huge factor for the loss,  especially in the first half. And missed tackles by the defense. They must have had 20 missed tackles.

Taron Johnson was TERRIBLE. So many times he took a bad angle and then just watched as Diggs ran around him. Terrible effort and tackling by him. I think he has reached his shelf life.

I agree the D is far more concerning year to date...

But tonight...even with all the penalties...if we simply don't turn the ball over we win this game, and maybe even win it easily... The Defense did what was necessary. They are a MASH unit out there and we are seeing fast decline of key players that were thought to be relatively solid like Milano, Rapp and Taron... Not to mention Tre who is a liability. Groot and Benford are not playing up to their normal high standard... It's just a mess right now...

Even still...The Bills Offense not scoring at least 24 points at home is just not expected. I'm actually shocked the D held them to 23...

If this defense can do the bare minimum and hold teams under 30. I am confident the offense will win the majority of games. Turnovers killed team today. I do believe securing the #1 seed is critical for this team though with this defense. When Hairston and Strong are healthy, White shouldn’t see field again barring injury. For me I just want entire defense to be healthy come playoff time.

Hopefully this L serves as wake up call for entire team.

There's nothing to wake up from

We just got a little exposed by easily the best defense we've seen thus far. We're still a great team w out an identity outside Allen, still likely going to win the division and not the SB

nothings changed except for the people who thought starting 4-0 was a sign of something different

I’m not saying we should or shouldn’t be dooming about kc necessarily but it’s disheartening.  we’ve had the ball down 3 with one offensive drive to win the last two playoff matchups with them…do people really not think we can’t pull that kind of game off?

The way it gets talked about here you’d think our defense gave up 100 points and we got blown out every time lol
