He refused to play in the 50 states in protest of the ICE raids and it seems hypocritical that he accepted the halftime show. Plus, I can either learn Spanish in four months or can just watch in confusion. 15 hours ago, SirAndrew said: I honestly didn’t even read your post, genuinely sorry you took it that way. I just can’t get on board with the crowd who seriously says “learn Spanish” for the halftime show. Nothing wrong with learning languages, but this learn Spanish or your an idiot crowd has come out. I’m not saying that’s you, I’m just saying I’ve seen it, and it’s dumb. learn german or chinese. much more useful and professionally accelerating. 1 Quote
Pecos Bills Posted October 8 Posted October 8 22 hours ago, boyst said: he has opinions!!!!!!! actually, the controversial part for many is that he is not an artist that caters to the fanbase of the football product. to me it's a bad call and therefore controversial because i'd prefer anyone who doesn't suck. it's a football game and not a publicity stunt for the artist. The NFL doesn't pay anyone to play the Super Bowl halftime show (beyond union scale which is about $1000/day), so its entire value to the artists is as a publicity stunt. Also, the NFL is running a "Por La Cultura" campaign over this whole season to cultivate their Latino fanbase, which they claim is already over 39 million people in the US. Quote

And roc nation runs the whole thing. I don't have much faith in the integrity of that group, either. 1 Quote
Another Fan Posted October 8 Author Posted October 8 (edited) Didn’t realize how much of a thing this would be when I started the thread in general. I’ve only become familiar with him this past week. The last halftime I show watched a decent amount of was J Lo and Shakira. Just because well I think they both are hot. Which ironically Bad Bunny was in. Guess I wasn’t paying attention to him. Those were the days. lol Edited October 8 by Another Fan 1 Quote

Mike in Horseheads Posted October 9 Posted October 9 Turning Point USA Launches All American Halftime Show as Alternative to Bad Bunny's 2026 Super Bowl Performance Last updated 5 hours ago Turning Point USA announced 'The All American Halftime Show' on Wednesday, scheduling it for February 8, 2026, the same day as Super Bowl LX at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California. The event serves as a conservative counter to the NFL's selection of Bad Bunny as the official halftime headliner, amid criticism from figures like President Donald Trump over the league's perceived progressive leanings. Organizers have not yet revealed performers or additional details but aim to emphasize patriotic values. Quote

SinceThe70s Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago I was surprised to see a topic on the main board about the punch rule divert to a discussion of the SB halftime performers. Good times. For the most part I could care less who the half-time performer is. Half time is for something more substantial to eat, refreshing my drink of choice and taking care of any gastrointestinal imperatives. Not too far off from how I look at SB commercials. By and large I don't gaf and it's just time between what interests me (the game). On the rare occasion I'm interested in the half time performer I'm mildly annoyed that I have to cram in the food/drink/bio necessities. Quote
