Signed Memorabilia Preference

For those of you who collect, what item would you rather to have a Josh Allen signature on.  Full sized helmet, Authentic Jersey or an Official NFL Football?  I am leaning Jersey but I cant decide.

Full sized helmet for the office at work, right now the helmets I’ve seen are around $800. Can’t quite justify that.

helmet for sure. I have 2. displayed on my mantle In my basement. Love them. I have an authentic Bledsoe era helmet signed by josh and recently purchased a slate replica. will probably add one more. eyeing the rivals helmet.

Helmet or football, just because they are easier to display, at least for me.

I like a signed jersey, but you gotta factor in the cost to have it professionally framed.

My son got his brother a signed Bruce jersey for Christmas one year. It was more than he should have spent at the time, but it was very cool. It turns out it cost us almost as much to properly frame it as it did for him to buy it. If it’s framed already, I’ll take the jersey (Josh only*) over a helmet, but you don’t need to do anything fancy to display a helmet. 

 

*I don’t do jerseys because I never know who the dirt bag is going to be, but Josh would be a rare exception amongst current players.

Yeah, I have a Thurman signed helmet and an Eric Wood signed ball, and the nice display cases for each were like $20-40 on Amazon. Frames are expensive and then take up so much wall space, and you need the proper room to hang it in...

I don’t own one single piece of Bills memorabilia except for some old football cards I bought at a convention in Vegas. I thought they would be worth a lot because they were super old. I got a Joe Cribbs, Joe Ferguson, and splurged on an OJ Simpson one (separate the art from the artist.)

 

To your OP, I would go with the helmet all day long. Jerseys are everywhere. An authentic Bills helmet is a beautiful thing.

I’m also curious to know how you all verify autographs you buy.   I’m see these “authentic” stickers everywhere on eBay, but what’s to stop just anyone from putting that sticker on fake autograph?

 

I’m also seeing a bunch of generic, non-authentic Bills jerseys being signed.   They are the right color with number, but no Bills logo.  It’s strange. 
 

I really want to get a signed, framed Josh Jersey, but there’s so many potential scams out there.

Do NOT buy on eBay if you care about authenticity. Only buy from the NFL or NFL verified sources. It will come with an official NFL-authorized card of authenticity that includes a serial number that traces back to exactly where/when/how the item you purchased was signed. 

I have signed game worn jerseys, helmets, etc. Never would buy from eBay.

As mentioned stay away from eBay. Heck even authorized dealers have been known to have fakes.

How do you know the Beckett thing is legit?   That’s the sticker I see on all the signed jerseys, but it’s usually just a sticker.  Couldn’t anyone just get a hold of them and slap them on a fraud signature?
