hey guys I just want everyone to know....Tua completed 22 passes for under 150 yards. Do you think the reason we didnt get any pressure or sacks was because all of Tua's throws were at or behind the LOS? I think that contributed to that fact.

Yes, thank you.

As a courtesy to others I try to read before I post.

Two of the best and fastest WRs in the NFL combined for 88 yards and an 8.8 YPC. White played his first 100% snaps game this year and had a tackle for a loss and a pass defensed.

Not only did White play well, he played better than Benford.

First,  yes the coaching sucked, the play calling was terrible.

Next:  when I saw your 20 something reply post, I could hear Darth Vader saying " Impressive... most Impressive "  😁

I keep forgetting we have a couple guys on suspension lol.

And the D is still finding it's sea legs. And I am quite sure Ed O could have played but McD felt it's not necessary. This is a team rich with talent.

Do I worry ? Of course. But that comes from being a Bills fan. We are conditioned to worry and fret.

I didn't stay up for McDermott's presser. Did anyone ask about the missed challenge on the Dolphins' first drive?

Imo, it was too close and unlikely to be over turned so he didn't want to risk a lost TO so early in the game

Been saying it all week, everyone is all of a sudden acting like the dolphins are a high school team that doesnt belong on the same feild as the bills. They are still a conference opponent thats the fastest offense in the nfl with a competent QB. Coming off a short week with injuries. I dont think theres bad wins in conference, teams know eachother so well it can always turn into a dog fight.

That's what Dawkins said before and then after the game

I know I'm getting ahead of myself here, but it's interesting to think that a Jets loss in Tampa and a Patriots loss to Pittsburgh this weekend would leave the Bills, after the 3-0 start, with two 0-3 teams and one 1-2 team in their division. It would take an epic fail on their part to not take their 6th consecutive division title.

The two 0-3 teams having already lost to the Bills are effectively 4 games behind in any divisional race.  Good luck overcoming that.

1) I saw where Josh continued his discipline of checking down to the shorter throws which is probably a big reason he has only 6 INTs in his last 20 regular season games.

2) Tua's depth of target was short and he was not holding onto the ball.

Difficult?

31 points and a missed field goal. 360 yards... 6.3 yards per play... 6/11 on 3rd down.

Not sure what you're attempting to say.

I thought it was a great game with two divisional foes going at it hard. It was a quality win in my book.

Whatever you say.

The Bills played poor 3rd down defense... that's my one criticism. The Dolphins only had 276 yards of offense. That's a small number for those who don't know.

They had us on the ropes?

Was that when we were punting from midfield with over 10 minutes left tied at 21?

Or was it when we intercepted Tua with 3 minutes left while leading by 7?

The Bills scored 31 points and missed a field goal. They had 360 yards, were 6/11 on 3rd downs, and averaged 6.3 yards per play... with 4 dropped passes.

Are you sure the Dolphins stymied us?

As knowledgable Bills fans here have been saying for months, the team signed multiple significant defensive free agents (Bosa, Hoecht, Ogunjobi, Shaq) not to mention Tre White and Dane Jackson. They drafted 6 significant rookie defenders in Hairston, Sanders, Walker, Hancock, and Strong. They have a new Senior Defensive Assistant and Co-Defensive Line Coach.

The defense was never going to hit the ground running... they are expected to improve over the course of the season.

If you're talking about the running game, the Bills rushed 27 times for 157 yards and averaged 5.8 yards per rush.

That's elite.

Our defense gave up 276 yards, 21 points, and 19 first downs to a team with 3 elite skill position players... Hill, Waddle, and Achane. Their QB was having an excellent game before the Bills FORCED the interception with Walker immediately in Tua's face and Bernard reading the play.

The defense played poorly on 3rd down but they assuredly did not suck.

It's really sad to read some of the comments in this thread... revealing so little understanding and perspective... and so much entitlement.

Two of the best receivers in the NFL combined for 10 catches and 88 yards and 2 TDs. Not bad. Dalton Kincaid by himself had 66 yards and a TD.

The Dolphins scored 1 TD in the 2nd half.

So the win against Baltimore doesn't count? How about the 15 wins last year? Were any of those teams good?

31 points and a missed field goal... 360 yards... 6.3 yards per play... 6/11 on 3rd down.

Good points. Yes our 3rd down defense was poor and yes, Groot is a disappointment. The defense kept the ball in front of them and gave up just 7 points in the 2nd half. They didn't give up many points or many yards. And as I wrote upthread, they're gonna get better.

One of the Bills drives you mention (in the 3rd quarter) ended when Coleman and then Ty Johnson dropped perfect throws.

As far as attacking deep offensively, Josh is not forcing the ball down the field which is partly why the Bills never turn the ball over anymore. In fact on the pass to Elijah Moore to convert the 2nd and 16, Josh had Keon open deeper but settled for the easier throw.

Thank you very much! Yes, everyone here's always bagging Andy Reid for keeping a little in reserve for the big games but when the Bills slow play an inferior opponent, it's because they lack imagination.

No one can clap with McD!!! And Bosa should know better... he's gonna hurt himself if he tries...

Thank you Sage. You really would have thought the Bills lost the game reading all the shyt here.

Exactly... thank you.

Yes, because as we all know, you can declare a rookie a bust after the 3rd game of their career.

Thank you for some much needed context. It's as if people can't remember before this preseason... much less the 17 drought years.

Post of the year. Thank you, Sierra! Ahhhh, common sense--it's such a gift.

We got pressure. The problem was we also let Tua slide out of pressure and extend the play, and then coverage cant hold up that long and it's an easy completion.

McDermott talked about it in his post game. Said they need to tweak it on Defense so our guys are actually hitting the QB and not letting him extend the play.

I think a lot of that was missing Ed in the middle last night. Bosa and Rousseau would get upfield and close to Tua, and when Tua stepped up to evade, we didnt have anyone coming up the middle to clean up.

2 major complaints

1) third down defense

2) the feeling like we were playing 'prevent offense' only up 7. once in the second quarter and again in the second half

I dont know if im really a fan of McD taking the ball out of Joshs hands as much as he does and I dont mean just hand offs but dump offs and little 3 yard hooks and what not. I mean you could find any smuck QB to do what he is doing, Allen has so much talent and McD is wasting it by forcing him to be a game manager or playing  "complimentary football".

it was not as fun to watch as last week. It was upsetting seeing rhe fish move the ball as well as they did

as has been stated Groot a non factor last night. He has not lived up to  star billing

Waddle torched us I did NOT like seeing that

The INT at the end OH HAPPY DAY. Thank you Taron Johnson

I will take a DUB and I grateful to be 3-0

I am wishing for health moving forward.

It’s good to get the win, puts us in a very good position going forward, I wish our third down defense didn’t for the most part act as an usher to the first down marker…,

GO BILLS!!!

Yea I saw McD on the sideline saying into the mic "hey Brady, call the 2 yard pass play please" repeatedly last night. So annoying.

A W is a W. I don’t care how it looks.

I thought we should blow them out, figured we wouldn’t on a short week facing a desperate team.

Our DT’s got blown up by a dollar store offensive line which was the main issue giving up so many 3rd down completions.

Josh played exactly as he should have. Miami started off in a 3-3-5 and we blew the doors off them in the first half. They switched to a Cover 2 soft zone shell, that’s why Josh kept taking the short stuff, because it was the right read and it was there. Younger Josh would have forced those throws into coverage and gotten picked. So Josh plays efficient small ball and all he has to worry about is a bunch of TBD posters complaining about the lack of deep shots.

Tre looked bad but no one can cover Waddle/Hill that long when there is no pass rush.

Does Gregg Rousseau still play for this team? Talk about a disappearing act.

Overall, a hard fought well earned W against a desperate division foe. Who cares how it looks.

We are on to New Orleans

Tua moved as well as I’ve ever seen him and kept plays alive. I don’t care how good your pass coverage is on the back seven, you are not gonna be able cover everyone for that long. Especially a group of WRs as good as Miami’s. Full credit to Tua.

Giants 11-4 lifetime and 7-0 in New York vs KC.

And Giants bloomed good vs Dallas.

It's one of those crazy NFL stats that Chiefs have never beaten Giants in NY

I understand what you're saying but to the bolded, no.

Allen's height, length, wingspan, his vision and ability to make flip throws and adjust his arm angle and throw wrist darts... I know people are frustrated that Josh is checking down so much but no one can dink and dunk like he can... certainly not any schmuck QB.
