Larry O I am not that excited about. He seems like such a JAG at this stage of his career. But Hoecht is needed they need to get Bosa less snaps to keep him healthy and Hoecht offers good versatility only 3 games left before they return Quote

Turbo44 Posted September 19 Posted September 19 Didn’t like all of Brady’s calls, but I never do. 0 turnovers in 3 games and averaging 34 points per game - a formula that will win you 95% of games. Good to see shavers get a couple of big catches. He’s got 4.3 speed, maybe we can design a play to get him deep. good problems to have, but we’ll have some hard roster decisions when the 2 PED boys come off suspension and Hairston and bass come off of IR. Thinking can Lewis and maybe codringron get cut?? 1 Quote

He makes everything seem so difficult. Difficult? 31 points and a missed field goal. 360 yards... 6.3 yards per play... 6/11 on 3rd down. Not sure what you're attempting to say. 3 hours ago, Coach Tuesday said: Also your typical crappy Thursday night experience. Sloppy and a slog. I thought it was a great game with two divisional foes going at it hard. It was a quality win in my book. 3 hours ago, SoonerBillsFan said: Coaching has to get better than this. Whatever you say. 3 hours ago, kkim0904 said: Every win counts. But, We put no pressure on Tua. Except for one interception, he ran he throw at his will.. The Bills played poor 3rd down defense... that's my one criticism. The Dolphins only had 276 yards of offense. That's a small number for those who don't know. 3 hours ago, gonzo1105 said: Two years in a row the Dolphins had the Bills on the ropes at home and a dumb Dolphins penalty allowed the Bills to keep a drive going that ended up being the difference. They had us on the ropes? Was that when we were punting from midfield with over 10 minutes left tied at 21? Or was it when we intercepted Tua with 3 minutes left while leading by 7? 3 hours ago, ***** said: Tell me about it. Dolphins could play tight play man get pressure and it stymied us. Same was true v the Jets actually. The Bills scored 31 points and missed a field goal. They had 360 yards, were 6/11 on 3rd downs, and averaged 6.3 yards per play... with 4 dropped passes. Are you sure the Dolphins stymied us? 3 hours ago, Billsatlastin2018 said: The Offense is about as exactly expected. Unfortunately, the same can be said about the D, with 180 degree meaning! I am hoping when the PED boys get back, it will be half assed decent. As knowledgable Bills fans here have been saying for months, the team signed multiple significant defensive free agents (Bosa, Hoecht, Ogunjobi, Shaq) not to mention Tre White and Dane Jackson. They drafted 6 significant rookie defenders in Hairston, Sanders, Walker, Hancock, and Strong. They have a new Senior Defensive Assistant and Co-Defensive Line Coach. The defense was never going to hit the ground running... they are expected to improve over the course of the season. 3 hours ago, Charles Romes said: Brady needs to have Allen attacking to open up the inning game If you're talking about the running game, the Bills rushed 27 times for 157 yards and averaged 5.8 yards per rush. That's elite. 3 hours ago, Buffalo Ballin said: Our defense DID SUCK tonight. Stop defending that side of the ball. Tre White covering Tyreek Hill? WHY???? That was stupid. We let them score 21 points on our field. Miami was on the verge to tie the game until they roughed our punter and Tua threw the INT. Did we even get a sack tonight? Josh Allen had an elite game though. 3 TDs, zero INT, high completion percentage. James Cook was great. Moore and Shakir had good games. Our defense gave up 276 yards, 21 points, and 19 first downs to a team with 3 elite skill position players... Hill, Waddle, and Achane. Their QB was having an excellent game before the Bills FORCED the interception with Walker immediately in Tua's face and Bernard reading the play. The defense played poorly on 3rd down but they assuredly did not suck. 2 hours ago, Irish Dave said: That’s 2 wins we played terrible in and probably should have lost. Can’t depend on penalties and interceptions It's really sad to read some of the comments in this thread... revealing so little understanding and perspective... and so much entitlement. 2 hours ago, LarryMadman said: Lol, gotta love the defense in perfect post season form. It's 3rd and 8 and the DBs playing 10 yards off, WTF! Different coordinators yet the scheme stays the same, unnacceptable. Two of the best receivers in the NFL combined for 10 catches and 88 yards and 2 TDs. Not bad. Dalton Kincaid by himself had 66 yards and a TD. The Dolphins scored 1 TD in the 2nd half. 2 hours ago, Irish Dave said: We will not beat good teams. I fear we’ll get over confident beating mediocre teams then crash down vs good ones So the win against Baltimore doesn't count? How about the 15 wins last year? Were any of those teams good? 2 hours ago, wppete said: That s Huge L for Brady today. Maybe his worse game calling so far. He needs to do better. 31 points and a missed field goal... 360 yards... 6.3 yards per play... 6/11 on 3rd down. 2 hours ago, TFBillsfan said: Scored 31 points, won by 10, Josh with 3 TDs. zero turnovers but it sure didn’t seem like it. Josh had SIX incompletions and realistically FOUR were horrible drops. * Miami was 10-15 on 3rd downs! 🤮 *Groot was AWOL this game which happens way too much. *Zero sacks and a D that just doesn’t look in sync. *ST kickoff coverage was shaky and Prater missed a fairly easy FG. *McDermott’s use of TO’s was questionable and missed challenging Hill’s 3rd down conversion. *Brady had no answers for almost three straight possessions in the 2nd half which can’t happen. *Surprised we never attacked deep offensively 3-0, mini bye, get healthy and D work to tighten things up. On to the Saints! Good points. Yes our 3rd down defense was poor and yes, Groot is a disappointment. The defense kept the ball in front of them and gave up just 7 points in the 2nd half. They didn't give up many points or many yards. And as I wrote upthread, they're gonna get better. One of the Bills drives you mention (in the 3rd quarter) ended when Coleman and then Ty Johnson dropped perfect throws. As far as attacking deep offensively, Josh is not forcing the ball down the field which is partly why the Bills never turn the ball over anymore. In fact on the pass to Elijah Moore to convert the 2nd and 16, Josh had Keon open deeper but settled for the easier throw. 2 hours ago, Billever76 said: It really was a bad game play calling wise…Bills go up by a TD and the entire play calling becomes telegraphed runs, quick passes behind the line of scrimmage and more telegraphed running lol 2 hours ago, Nihilarian said: Ever think that the Buffalo coaches only showed enough on offense to get the win...you know, kinda like what the Chiefs do every year before the playoffs. Thank you very much! Yes, everyone here's always bagging Andy Reid for keeping a little in reserve for the big games but when the Bills slow play an inferior opponent, it's because they lack imagination. 2 hours ago, Big Blitz said: Bosa in the locker room looks like no issue. Clapping with McD No one can clap with McD!!! And Bosa should know better... he's gonna hurt himself if he tries... 2 hours ago, SageAgainstTheMachine said: The Brady-era Pats won like a dozen games against us that looked like this. If you just don’t put the ball in jeopardy you win the game like 90% of the time even when the inferior opponent plays better than expected. Thank you Sage. You really would have thought the Bills lost the game reading all the shyt here. 2 hours ago, Nitro said: Need the secondary to heal up. Miami was not going to roll over but they somehow held Hill and Waddle to 10 catches out of 16 throws for 88 yards. Strange game but take the win and move on. Exactly... thank you. 2 hours ago, GASabresIUFan said: Their will be people here who focus on Sanders (or someone else) being a bust instead of the 5 other good players we drafted elsewhere like Hawes, Walker, Strong etc.... Yes, because as we all know, you can declare a rookie a bust after the 3rd game of their career. 2 hours ago, Nihilarian said: Really? Did the Buffalo Bills lead the NFL in scoring last season? Some forget that Buffalo was 6-6 with Josh throwing it all over, and meanwhile, Miami was 9-3 and looking to win the division when Joe Brady was hired to replace Ken Dorsey. Yeah, and Buffalo beat Miami 21-14 in that last regular-season game in 2023 to win the division. Thank you for some much needed context. It's as if people can't remember before this preseason... much less the 17 drought years. Edited September 19 by Sierra Foothills 5 1 4 4 2 Quote

Tua was getting it out in under 4 seconds alot. All i care about is pressures, which the bills got. Pressures create incomplete passes and turnovers. Under 4 seconds? Avg time to throw in the NFL is 2.75 seconds lol. 4 seconds is an eternity to hold the ball. 1 Quote

Richard Noggin Posted September 19 Posted September 19 Tua's postgame presser response about THAT play at the end was kind of impressive imho. He gave a TON of credit to "the/that linebacker" and the play he made. Several times he referenced Bernard's impressive read/play on it, reiterating that he'd (Tua) make that same read and throw 10/10 times. He DID mention the flash of "color" in front of him, which he had to deal with, but his biggest takeaway was Bernard coming off his primary responsibility to jump Waddle's route. 1 Quote
vanhalen26 Posted September 19 Posted September 19 What did you think of going for the field goal with under 30 seconds left and a 7 point lead. It worked out but I would have either run the ball to gain a couple more yards or punted to push them back. My fear was the risk of missing the kick was too high and giving them a short field to go for the win (with a quick score and 2 pointer). I thought our D could tie them up for 25 seconds if they were deep and no time outs left. Quote
