The Raiders gave them more trouble than other divisional opponents in recent years.  This is a different Raiders team but Maxx Crosby means Mahomes is in for a long day.  He makes it a point to touch Mahomes and get in his ear on every play.  We will see, but that division looks to be getting more competitive while ours may be the worst in football.

We are like the Brady lead Patriots, incredibly weak division which we can feast on the other three teams, an extraordinary advantage.  Raiders being "run" by two ancient has beens, Geno Smith  and Pete Carrol.

Pretty sure both Grier and McDaniel will be fired after a loss to the Bills this Thursday. Good time for Ross to do it with the longer week for the interims to settle in.

From there, any dummy can make the call to trade Hill away for a bag of footballs.

Chiefs will probably take any firepower at this point.

Yea I could see that…I guess we hope McDaniel holds on lol  such a shame because the dolphins should have the chiefs over a barrel for this trade and if they clean house midseason the dolphins will probably blow it 😂

Chiefs first half schedule is tough.  They could realistically be 0.500 when we see them in Buffalo.

Chargers 0 - 1

Eagles 0 - 2

Next Up:

Giants

Ravens

Jags

Lions

Raiders

Commanders

Bills

Agreed. It is really realistic that they come 4-4 to Buffalo and leave 4-5. Yeah they are still pretty good but they can lose any of those games so I'd be surprised if they ended up better than 4-2 in that stretch.

If they somehow lose to the Giants it might be even questionable if we shouldn't root for them vs Ravens.

The Chiefs haven’t even played an away game yet and are winless. This is not a good sign. I can see them having 7 losses this year. May or may not be enough to get into playoffs.

Well, technically playing in Brazil is an away game for both teams, but sure, due to technicalities, the Chiefs were the "home team".

Brazil wasn't their home game, it was Chargers home game. They play Chargers at home in December.

@Billl thoughts on the chiefs being winless through 2 games?

my thoughts are:  they played 2 of the best teams in the league (yes, I think the chargers will be a contender this season) and almost won both.  They are banged up at WR and the OL looks just as bad as last season.  I don’t think  Mahomes running this much is wise, but it will continue until rice comes back. He’s had no option but to run.  Kelces blunders are hilarious.

that said-  they just have to make the playoffs and they’ll be a top contender to win it all.  They have the track record to show that they get it done and luck is traditionally on their side.

Certainly not lost in the noise, but rather celebrated in 31 other fan bases.  Such is the life of the king that wears the crown.

Chiefs are so lucky they get the Giants next.  A loss to the Giants just might be the beginning of a season implosion.  But sadly we all know that the Chiefs will right the ship.

hot takes about KC in September probably won't age well. People said the same things about NE, and yet in January they were always there. None of these games matter.

Thanks Dad. But we’re happy now 🤷‍♂️

Wish they weren't playing the Giants next week.

Eh let them feast on the Giants to build confidence and let the winner of them and Baltimore fall a peg or two.

Would you still say the games don't matter if the Bills were 0-2?

It’s not the same thing. Bills need the #1 seed. The path is wide open to get that this year.

KC has proven they can do it with or without the top seed.

Funny thing. That was a Chargers home game. So KC literally played an away game. Not sure about that poster’s comment.

I told everyone that the Chiefs won’t make the playoffs this year.

Made a whole post about it 2 months ago and people were laughing. I gave you the reasons why.

They definitely aren’t coming back to make the playoffs. Yeah we are only going into week 3 but again like I said before the Chiefs have too many things going against them historically.

They are done this year. They will have to try again next year. Watch and see. I’ll be pulling up my post when they are completely eliminated from the playoffs to say I told you so.

You can refresh your memories on everything I showed they had going against them historically. History repeats itself a lot. KC had too many things to overcome.

I remember your post. I hope you trusted your own instinct and bet on them missing the playoffs. It was a + return on investment.

Not so fast people! I vividly recall the Cowboys starting 0-2 after they thrashed us at the Rose Bowl. Emmitt Smith was suspended if I recall correctly. A few months later they beat us in Atlanta. Ugh!

It's okay because the Chiefs only have one more loss than the Bills.

Fix is in for this weekend’s game lol

17 consecutive wins in one-score games was not sustainable, and now they’ve lost two in a row.  They are essentially the same team, with the same QB and coaches, but they didn’t get the breaks they needed.  If anyone takes them for granted they’re stupid, but these Chiefs are NOT the dominant force they have been.

As a fan I’m trying to focus myself on one week at a time, like the team does.  It’s easy to get ahead of ourselves and look at what might be, but I’m going to enjoy the ride one week at a time.

If this Bills team can stay reasonably healthy, everything will take care of itself.

The 0-2 Giants.  Whose coach Brian Daboll must have naughty pictures of Mara or something, given how the G-men changed coaches every 2 years from 2016 to 2022, including McAdoo who took them to a better record (11-5) and a playoff appearance his first year.
