Dan Darragh Posted September 15 Posted September 15 It's really been uncanny how the chips have fallen the Bills' way in the first two weeks of the season. The Bills' only games this season against teams that are currently 2-0 are Cincinnati (week 14) and Philly (week 17) plus possibly Tampa Bay (week 11) (1-0 and playing tonight). We're 2 games up on Kansas City a game up on Baltimore with the tiebreaker, and 2 games up on the entire division except New England because, well, someone had to win that MIA-NE game yesterday. It's too early to get excited by all this and I'm risking putting a Jim Nantz kicker hex on it by talking about it, but how often do you remember everything going the Bills' way around the league? The last time I remember this happening was Week 17 in 2017. 1 3 Quote
zow2 Posted September 15 Posted September 15 The entire goal of the season is the 1 seed. If they don't achieve that it's a huge hit. They are in good position now but it's way too early. If they can play aggressive D the rest of the season like they did yesterday they can get it. The only way they will fail is if Buffalo gets complacent, reads the press clippings of how great they are...and don't take lesser teams seriously. Injuries and turnovers also play a huge role in getting upset. 4 Quote

thronethinker Posted September 15 Posted September 15 (edited) What I like is that this team is not playing mistake free football, but is still winning. Teams that play their best football in September generally don’t have deep runs in the playoffs. The fact that we’re missing starters on defense, and the suspensions…. It is going to leave this team in very good shape towards the end of the year….. Edited September 15 by thronethinker 2 Quote

They shouldn't be complacent; the team gets knocked out of the playoffs every year. Hopefully, they're both angry and hungry. Hangry. Quote
billsfan89 Posted September 15 Posted September 15 Week 2 was about as good a game for the Bills heading into a Thursday game. The Bills dominant performance turned the last quarter into garbage time which allowed the vets to rest. They also were able to give Taron a week off and Ed as well. The Jets away have been a 50/50 knuckleball type game the last 3 seasons but this year they managed to get a very dominating comfortable win. This secures a 2 game lead over two opponents in the division and a 1 game lead overall. No major injuries from what I saw (other than Cam Lewis whose injury didn’t look like much). An absolute peach of a Sunday. 1 1 Quote
Buffalo03 Posted September 15 Posted September 15 What's crazy is, the Chiefs games have been called fairly by the refs. It's amazing how much harder it is for them when they don't get the calls 2 3 2 Quote
MarkyMannn Posted September 15 Posted September 15 Not to get too far ahead here, LOL, but our next 5 games are against cupcakes. That 11/2 Chiefs game at home should be great 1 Quote
thronethinker Posted September 15 Posted September 15 (edited) Home field and the bye is the only acceptable outcome of the regular season. My dream scenario would be the Bills #1 and Ravens #2 and the Ravens getting bounced in the divisional round by the Chiefs or a wild card team on a hot streak. I don’t see any way through Baltimore if we have to go there on the road in January. Edited September 15 by thronethinker 1 Quote

Rack up some blow outs to help manage guys health & get the rookies extra start time, so they can hit the ground running for playoffs. On that 2nd note, I saw Deone Walker getting double teamed what felt like every snap he played AND hold strong against it! Dude turning into the defenses Spencer Brown would be so damn huge Quote

hondo in seattle Posted September 15 Posted September 15 Pretty much every time we play the Ravens, I expect to lose because they have a better roster, and their O is a matchup nightmare. So once the Prater nailed that final FG, the beginning of the 2025 season was already a beautiful thing. AFCE 'rival' losses, KC losses, etc. are all just icing on the cake for me at this point. 2 Quote
Ethan in Cleveland Posted September 15 Posted September 15 Beware the Chargers... I called it before the season started. They will win the AFC West and will play at Highmark for the AFC Championship 2 1 Quote
GottaRun Posted September 15 Posted September 15 What's crazy is it's hard to see us any worse than 5 - 1 after week 6, and then we get Hoecht & Ogunjobi back from suspension Quote

I just hope that the chiefs lose every game that Taylor Swift attends so eventually we dont have to endure the spectacle any longer Quote

947 Posted September 15 Posted September 15 Starting 2-0 is awesome, but could the start be better? Yes, absolutely. The Jets game as all good, but our Defense got completely embarrassed vs the Ravens despite still getting the win. So yeah, if we could've held Henry to <100 yards & not needed historic levels of offensive wizardry in the final 5 minutes, it would be better. Quote
