I think he’s gonna be our next Micah Hyde.

He may be, and I hope you're right. However, it won't surprise me if he has difficult moments against the Dolphins. Neither will it upset me. Learning experiences are good. He's not Micah yet.

Annoying to be down Oliver & Milano, but the Dolphins just put 2/5ths of their OL on IR, so I’m not going to complain too much.

Re: Milano, it just makes me worried long term.  This Defense has a ton of potential, but alot of relies on certain guys… Rapp, Milano, Taron, Bernard, Benford, Bosa staying healthy.

Two games in and we’re already having to deal with missed games from Taron Johnson and Matt Milano.

That being said.. very quickly it seems clear that the key to this defense is making sure Bosa and Benford are healthy in the Playoffs.  We’ve never had a Bosa type power player at this level for the playoffs and Benford hasn’t be available in our Chiefs losses.

We need to wrap up the #1 seed by week 18 to give our defense two full weeks of rest. With our schedule and our division that is a very doable outcome if we stay focused and don't drop any stupid games.

Honestly it's not surprising. It's a short week which tends to make coaches be conservative about injuring and McDermott already tends that way.

While it's never good, if there's a game to give them rest it's this one: Miami doesn't really have possession receivers or a prolific TE and its OL is beat up hell.

I can see us rolling out a heavier Dime with Rapp/Bishop acting as LB while Taron helps with Hill

I don't think you're going to see Rapp or Bishop acting as LB.

Is this real or a prank?  Did the owner of the Fish just promote uniforms and concessions (and other events) to Fish fans?

Why are some of the richest people in the world also complete morons?

Prank.  Funny AF though.

Heck as fans we might as well enjoy being on top as much as possible, even tho it's only been 2 weeks go ahead and speculate, look ahead, revel in other teams struggles whatever, as fans you gotta enjoy these moments cause we all know what can happen in football... One play and it can all change, I watch these games and it's so intense and violent I know we feel our team has bad luck with injuries but it happens to all of them, these players are doing things that push the human body to the edge, as a fan I am not surprised or frustrated with any injury to any player anymore, its just what it is now

The bolded is really intriguing to me at this point, and primarily because McDaniel's players (especially defensively) do NOT respect him. And while each player knows they are being evaluated by every team on every snap, they also don't always rise to the occasion if the coach on the hot seat is a doofus.

Of course it's possible that Miami comes out swinging for the fences and lands a few, but if the Bills can score points early and often, then I'm pretty sure Dolphins players won't be extra motivated to save their coach's job in a losing effort.

Plus the OLB coach got arrested Friday night for DB, so that could feed into the anarchy and lack of professional culture. Could be dudes on that team who resent being associated with space cadets and dirt bags, and want to see real change NOW.

I'd like to know your source for this?  Not saying you're right, not saying you're wrong, but it's easy to say stuff.

I did find the Douglas interview interesting.  I heard Tre' White interviewed when the Rams traded him to the Ravens for a 7th round pick swap, and had only good things to say about the Rams and their style of coaching and the way they do things, while also saying positive things about the Ravens.

I don’t think I came anywhere near implying he is even close to Micah at this stage. I just notice similarities in their career arcs. Like Hyde before him, like every rookie DB drafted in the mid rounds, there is a steep learning curve to undergo. Especially in McD’s schemes.

EDIT: I meant to add that Hancock shows superior athleticism to Micah at this early stage.

Pretty funny thread on the Fish site. Tua getting ROASTED by his own fans for admitting he can't do half the stuff Allen does. Thread includes the link to the presser he says that.

My favorite:

To be fair, Tua once saw Josh Allen brace a fall with his arms and thought "Holy ****, this guy is on another level."

I didn't know this, but Allen can tie Manning with a win tomorrow night.

Allen’s chasing greatness in Week 3

Did you know Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has a 7-0 record on Thursdays? Between Thursday Night Football and three Thanksgiving contests, Allen has yet to lose a midweek contest. With a win versus the Miami Dolphins Allen would tie NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning for the second-most-consecutive Thursday wins in NFL history. Only current New York Giants quarterback Russell Wilson and NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady (9 each) would hold longer streaks.

Allen has thrown for 1,727 yards and 15 touchdowns to 6 interceptions across his seven Thursday starts. Six of the seven games were also played on the road.

Allen’s personal achievement isn’t the only accolade to keep in the back of your mind during Thursday Night Football. The Bills can also extend their NFL-leading home (regular season) winning streak to 13 games by defeating a reeling Dolphins team in Highmark Stadium this week. If Buffalo wins to improve to 3-0, it will be the second-consecutive season the Bills start 3-0, and the team’s four such effort since 2017 https://www.buffalorumblings.com/buffalo-bills-analysis-all-22/116140/josh-allen-can-tie-a-peyton-manning-record-on-thursday-night

They can wear tinted visors if they get a medical exemption. Pretty sure Tyrod Taylor was wearing a tinted visor when he played against us.

Waddle is another dude that is always injured.

I don't want to sound like I don't take the Dolphins seriously.  But it's nard not to chuckle when a team has players named "Waddle" and "Storm Duck".

Bills injury report was the same as yesterday's.  Taron Johnson has to play given he said he was good to go yesterday.  Right?  McD?

Two of the biggest questions of the game are Taron Johnson and Cam Lewis.  They're both tough as nails and miss very few games.  I don't know his current situation but Lewis played for several years with a bone infection and (I think) a non-disjunction in his arm.  That's pretty tough.

But will McD play either, on a short week?

That is pretty unfair to Tua, though.  I mean, some of the greatest QB to play the game, like Brady, have said they can't do half the stuff Allen does.

Brady has pointed out that isn't necessarily a positive: aspects of what Allen does may not be conducive to prolonging his NFL career.

Oh gosh K-9, I didn’t mean my comment in a challenging way at all. Apologies if it appeared unfriendly. A more athletic Micah? Wouldn’t that be a dream come true!

Not unfriendly in the least. No worries.

And yeah, if the comparable RAS scores mean anything, Hancock’s athleticism is far superior. But we all know that doesn’t mean much if he can’t come close to Micah’s mastery of the cerebral aspects of the position which, again, is paramount in McD’s scheme of things. Looking forward to seeing Hancock put it all together eventually.

If I am counting correctly, the Bills have knocked Tua out of the game 3 times....twice due to injury, and once due to ineffectiveness.

I have a feeling we may see number 4 tomorrow.

The weird thing is that I have never considered Micah unathletic.  It might come down to definition.  Are we really just talking about speed?  He definitely had slowed down near the end.  I just keep seeing in my mind the over the head interception at the goal line against the Pats, thinking about how he just decided to score as the hands guy defending the onside kick, him returning kicks, him playing baseball, being such a great safety, etc.

He just struck me as a superb athlete.  I know that his RAS score is not even close to being good and that Hancock's RAS is elite.

Like I said, weird.

I never thought Micah wasn’t athletic and I’m only basing it on their comparable RAS numbers. But the similarities in their career arcs is interesting imo. Both played multiple DB positions in college, both 5th round picks, both asked to play nickel initially as pros while many projected Hyde as an eventual safety and are now doing with Hancock. I’m looking forward to his evolution as a pro.

Divisional game against desperate opponent and on a short week. All recipes for disaster but I think Bills should get it done. There is no reason to not be undefeated going into that KC game. Don't want to hear any excuses about not getting that #1 seed this year which I believe is critical for the Bills to reach the Super Bowl.

Dude, my dog is in from out of town and my mother-in-law crap on the rug.
