i think we will get the dolphins best shot here tbh

i get the feeling this game is kind of a tipping point for their season

So you’re saying this is their Super Bowl!?

The worst thing that could happen for Miami fans is to win this game. McDaniel and Grier are a complete dumpster fire and need to go. Squeaking out a win now would be like the once or twice during the drought we squeaked one out against Brady. Meaningless because that team is DONE.

I think it’s another cake walk, this one more through the air. Their DBs are ass, they’ve got gimpy pass rushers, Dodson is their starting LB.

Only chance they have is if Josh has a multiple turnover game and he’s way past that I think.

They have about as much a chance of that as us getting a blizzard this week.

Quite honestly we are saying the same thing...  I guess its all in the definition of trap game... for me its a game that you clearly should win but dont because you dont bring your best game and ultimately beat yourselves... my hope is that they just wanna give up and dont come out like a cat in a corner...  maybe my use of the word trap is simply a misnomer for we are playing a team we should beat all day long, but I could see this going the other way if we dont take it seriously as a team...

Traditionally, a "trap game" is a game against a much weaker team followed by a game with a stronger team.   The idea is that the strong team will overlook the much weaker team because it's looking ahead to its stronger opponent.  New Orleans is hardly the team to make many teams worry about them two weeks out.

If they don't win, their season is over and their coach probably gets fired. If they like that guy at all, they're going to come out amped up. Really hope McDermott is doing his "It's hard to win in the NFL" routine all week.

Why do you think that McDermott won't?   I think that he does that for every single game.  Even with Allen, the team wouldn't win nearly as consistently as it does if he didn't.

How does "crushing a division opponent at home, putting the Bills at 3-0, the Dolphins at 0-3, and going into a mini-bye week as the 1-seed in the AFC and giving big Ed and Matt Milano some time to heal up" sound to everyone else? To me, it sounds pretty ***** good.

This game will be close. If Miami loses their season is over. Buried in the division and little hope in the AFC wildcard race.

They would fall to 0-3 and then face the Jets, whose coach will run it 451 times on them for 480 yards.

Over the course of the last 5+ seasons, the Bills have the fewest of those wins in the NFL since their average game is nearly a 10 point win.  Yes, you read that right.  Not their average WINTHIER AVERAGE GAME, including all losses since 2020, is a win by 9.5 points. That is so absurd it's to the point of almost incredulity. Like you almost want to go back and start adding up the totals because you don't think that could be right.

The 2nd place team in that category over that timeframe are the Ravens at 6.72, which means the difference between the Bills and the 2nd place Ravens is larger than the difference between the Ravens and the 6th place 49ers.

Is there something that you think is fundamentally changing this year in that?  Doubtful.  They have what some are saying is the easiest remaining schedule in the NFL.

But our wide receivers can’t separate

Why not. They crushed one on the road and now follow it up with another one at home.

They don't exist.  These are simply figments of people's imaginations. There is always a non-zero possibility any team loses to any other team.  Over a 20+ year study they definitively proved that teams who faced "trap games" actually had a slightly higher winning percentage than in games against similar teams when it was a "non-trap" game.  SO in fact when you think it's a "trap game", that means the Bills actually have a slightly higher chance of winning historically than they otherwise would.

The Fish don't have a good enough defense to consistently stop the Bills passing or running.   The Bills could beat themselves, but that hasn't been their mo this season.

Divisional game.  You know the drill.

Throw everything you think you know out the window.

Have you watched either of the Fins' previous two losses?   They've been "in disarray" to be kind.   "Running for the bus" mode might be a better description.

Completely random, but I am watching All22 again and noticed that 1 second before each snap Cook throws out something small white behind him. Anybody has a clue what that might be?

smelling salts, I think. actually see a lot of players doing it.

Game 1 looks worse for them after the Vikings looked horrible against Atlanta

The first 2 to 4 weeks are never really the indicator for the rest of the season for alot of teams
