or what's now just called cider.  Is it big inUpstate NY?  Lot's of good apples.  Do you like it?  Dry or sweet?

I love dry and the settings these cideries are in are often beautiful.

Yes. This is about 20 minutes from my house.

is it fun?  place I was at today was full of kids, dogs and nice people. we'll be returning.

I think Angry Orchard is out of Rochester or thereabouts and they also supply Aldi.  That's a bit sweet for me.

It may not be cider, but it’s pretty funny. Lipton Ice Tea had a small tent, a fenced off area and VIP Potties for the opener right in front of Hammers lot. I was semi-curious, mostly about the potties. I actually got a pic from someone of how relatively pristine they were, with the emphasis on relative, of course. OK, that makes me a bit more curious, just for the sake of knowledge which may be valuable in the future.

I wander up to the entrance thinking the guy wearing the black SECURITY shirt must know something. I was wrong. I asked what does it take to use the VIP potties. “I have no idea.” OK, I’m thinking this might be very good information. Mr Security tells me Lipton has some new alcoholic beverage they were looking to rollout and  promote…..  but nobody got a liquor license in time. OOPS!

Sucks to be That Guy.

Mr Security didn’t know any more details. They just paid him to stand there.  😂

Which is funny because Twisted Tea was in front of the Bills store with the other vendors, serving samples.

I've only gone for concerts, so I'm not sure how a normal weekend crowd doing tastings might be for them.

Oh man, memories of my youth on the east side.

The local candy shop/five n dime would let gallons of cider ferment out back and they'd sell it to us delinquents. We'd empty a big packet of Wyler's (a competitor of Kool Aid) into that plastic jug and shake it up before we drank it in some alley. We'd all end up throwing that vile concoction up. 🤮 Anything for a cheap high.

Genesee Farms used to sell hard cider in a gallon plastic jug like is used for milk... talk about a horrible hangover. On a side note I can't even smell Genny cream ale with out feeling a little nauseated.

I can recommend some that's made here locally - Bull City Ciderworks. They were in Durham and now bottled in my town. They're not in va yet. But they're across the border.

I have no idea where you're going with this, as this basically has nothing to do with hard cider, but fella, i'm coming along for the ride.
