I wouldn’t mind seeing Taron shift into one of the Safety roles - maybe not mid-season, but next year or so. The question would be whether Hairston (or Strong) is willing to stick his nose into the line of scrimmage and tackle. If so, then Taron to Safety might be a great idea. strive_for_five_guy Posted September 14 Posted September 14 So who started and how did they look? I wasn’t honing in on the CBs too much, but the scoreboard looked pretty good. Quote

White especially looked better against the run than I remember. he was taken out late and strong entered the game per McDermott it was to not overtax white after the injury 2 1 Quote

Ethan in Cleveland Posted September 15 Posted September 15 Tre was moving around really really well. Can he turn and run with the best WR's? Probably not. He never really had elite speed ot begin with. But he was moving unhindered today. Good to see. This week should be a real test. 2 Quote
buffaloaggie Posted September 15 Posted September 15 Tre looked good in run support today, which surprised me. He still seems to be a liability in pass coverage. Quote
TFBillsfan Posted September 15 Posted September 15 Tre looked solid against a putrid passing team. Haven’t seen the snap count but did Strong come in later in the game to relieve Tre? Quote

DrDawkinstein Posted September 15 Posted September 15 Tre was the biggest nice surprise from yesterday. Very "Strong" (pun intended) in the run game, and I didnt notice him much in the pass game, which is a good thing. A lot of that could do with the level of competition we were facing yesterday, but it's still the NFL against NFL players and an old, oft-injured Tre held up very well and even flashed at times. Was nice to see if even just for the nostalgia. Looking very forward to what this secondary looks like when we get Taron, and even more so, Hancock back. 1 Quote

TFBillsfan Posted September 15 Posted September 15 Fingers crossed Tre, Johnson and Benford can stay healthy. If Bishop continues to improve and Max, Strong and Hancock make stride this season, the future of our secondary looks good. 2 Quote
26TrapDraw Posted September 15 Posted September 15 You guys ever notice when Tre white is interviewed he drops F bombs like crazy and is really casual about it. It's hilarious. 1 Quote

That said if either of our rookies seem worthy of starting at outside CB I'd rather see them get the playing time and experience. I think the Ravens last season utilized Tre well, he's a great CB4 who can play 35-40% of snaps. I just don't think he is gonna hold up on a heavy snap count. I think the reason they drafted two corners including their top draft pick was to ideally avoid playing Tre as a starter longer term. Quote
NewEra Posted September 15 Author Posted September 15 Great game Tre. He made plays when they came his way. Solid tackling, which is what I was worried about. Keep it going 1 Quote
3rdand12 Posted September 15 Posted September 15 So far so good Tre. He was having a ball Sunday. Saw some solid play from him ! and he played the run willingly 🤠 Had to look , who's 27 ? Secondary looked good. But i suggest it was because the Dline was fired up against a god O line of the Jets !! go bills Quote
BananaB Posted September 15 Posted September 15 Tre had a solid game Sunday but Fields and the Jets aren’t really what Tony Romo talked them up to be early in the game. Personally I want the younger guy on the field who has more upside down the road. If Strong isn’t a liability and his ceiling is higher than what Tre can give us, it’s more beneficial for the team the sooner he gets there. Quote
