NORWOODS FOOT Posted August 30 Posted August 30 And yet it all comes down to the ball being in his hands with a chance to tie/win. Here we go… 4th and 5… No FIRST!! Buckeye Ball!! 1 Quote
Process Posted August 30 Posted August 30 Questionable decision making would be expected on the road Week 1 vs OSU. But it's shocking how inaccurate Manning has been. 1 Quote
SirAndrew Posted August 30 Posted August 30 14-7. Texas got a taste of Big Ten football today. Manning not looking great. It’ll be interesting to see if he’s another Manning, or a Trevor Lawrence type “generational talent”. 2 Quote

Too many misses on short throws, too much side arm crap while he's standing there flat footed. He has a lot to learn that's for sure. 1 Quote

Manning will be interesting to watch this season. You’ve got to wonder if he amounts to everything that’s been predicted. It’s difficult not to have a bias assuming he’ll be great. His physical attributes and playing style look just like every other Manning. It’s challenging to be subjective. Quote

Two HOF QB uncles, all the hype and what...2 seasons as a backup? Me thinks he is more hype than substance. Just now, SirAndrew said: Manning will be interesting to watch this season. Mark Vader Posted August 30 Posted August 30 Rough game for Manning. Good defensive play from both teams. In the end it did not matter, but why did Ohio State pass the ball on 2nd & 10 late in the game instead of running the ball? Quote

They knew they needed one first down at minimum and wanted two chances getting it with the pass instead of one. 1 Quote
Thrivefourfive Posted August 30 Posted August 30 Texas lost more than a game in that one. Maybe an instant shot of less pressure will do them good. All the CFB media stories will be ten to fifteen things other than Texas save one, Manning’s stats. And how’s that going to go anyways..?? To me it looked like Texas is no Air Raid. Is this the year the Heisman winner goes 15-1 or whatever and wins the chip but has 1983 stats? Back in the 90s, you got a Heisman for winning, too. Remember, uncle P. Never got there. They gave it to a defender!! Woodson 🤣🤣 So Manning punished defenders for the rest of his football life. There’s a lot that drives a man 🧙. But, Texas,, their play designs look 2003 and I’ve never believed in that coach to his core. It’s actually remarkable he’s gotten to where he is. Big fat phony is what eyes think. But I know nothing. But, I’m impressed by how Texas put themselves out there like that.. campaigning the Heisman favorite, acting like they deserve that ranking (they don’t), going to Coluxbus.. A picture perfect expression of where Texas stands was shown on the last offensive play. Arch Manning ball in his hands, a 4th & 5 (because of him), but he didn’t go down and he got the pass off—complete!—two or three yards short.. ahhhh. The yacht clubs nationwide are on your side. That right there is where Texas stands against the real teams. Big, strong, got a QB, has no idea what they’re doing at this level. Watching Georgia’s -practice this afternoon. Hey!… Texas coulda scheduled the mighty Texas State University Fightin’ Amadillos..! …Okay? O state, you had to get it done today. Imagine if you lost.. the way Texas played.. it woulda been: HC- get your butt back on your red hot hotseat! Quote
YoloinOhio Posted August 30 Posted August 30 I heard this stat earlier… a manning has never beaten a top 3 team. Glad that tradition continued, along with manning face!! 1 Quote

Hartline calling plays now and he’s the guy who recruited all the WR so I think he’s going to throw it and assume his guy is going to make the play Quote

I can't believe the lengthy replay review on the TD catch by Texas. It seemed like an obvious catch to me. Sure the ball switched hands a bit on the roll over but i didn't see it touch ground. He had some *really* nice passes. Pro level passes. Quote
