The agony over Jimmy Ciarlo is crazy to me. The guy was still un-signed by any team as recently as last month. I get he was featured on Hard Knocks and was a fun story, but he has no business being on the field as a LB so it came down to special teams. Easy player to get through waivers too.

I still don't get why people get so mad about Damar Hamlin. It's like if he DIDN'T almost die, then the majoriuty of the opinion would be: average player, pretty good in the run game, can struggle in space, needs to be smart in coverage to overcome a lack of speed in the 2nd level of the secondary

He is not average. He is bad and slow. But he is the best we have.

He played the 2nd most snaps for the defense last year.  I feel like if he was SOOO terrible we would have had a lot more problems.

They wouldn't have drafted Elam, Hairston, or Bishop if they only were worried about putting a character guy in that knows his system.  This is one of the worst consistent takes over the years imo.

Rapp, Bishop, Hamlin, Hancock, Lewis.  Strong would be the 5th or 6th CB I think.

He was in the PUP I thought.  I’m puzzled.  Beane needs to perform some roster gymnastics.  I believe Van Pran was already on PUP, Bills wouldn’t have to do anything.  He wouldn’t count against the roster.  And we get him back after 4 games.

 

Now by activating him, I believe takes a roster spot.

That is big news for Lundt in not a good way.  Either that or they are trading RVD. Can’t see them keeping 10 this year. Big news though for IOL depth since I was a bit worried about that because Grable/RVD haven’t played it in the NFL and Lundy struggled there in Preseason

I think many of us don't feel he is an average player. Many of us feel if he wasn't on the Bills roster he wouldn't be on any roster, thus far below an average player. And lastly many of us are worried that his story clouds the judgement on his ability. 

Im happy for him. Its a great story. Hopefully Bishop plays well and he hardly sees the field.

The defense was such a mess last year, we spent a whole offseason trying to fix it.

He won the job last year because all the players they brought in to compete ended up missing all of camp.  Bishop played a few games early and looked lost - can't have wide open 80 yard TDs to the other teams best player.  If anything i felt more shaky with Lewis and Williams last year.

Why would that be surprising, he started last year and has been Safety 3 all summer.   shocker?  I mean I get he is not an all pro and I would not want him as a starter but he does provide a certain floor in a pinch.
