I've listened to a lot of coverage on this game. In the shop this morning I caught Carruci and dan lebetard on NFL radio.

I've always always always appreciated their straight forward non-hot take perspectives. Which, when eating lunch just now I see nfl.com says that the game will be a shoot out, 10 TD's between he QB's.

I guess I get the idea. Everyone is expecting fireworks. But, back to Carruci and Lebetard they seemed more balanced. I am, too. I don't see either team scoring the 35+. The Bills offense has the potential, and their defense has the unpotential to give it up. The Ravens offense has the ability to score but not the explosiveness of the Bills. Their defense can shut down and offense.

If the winning score is something 31-20something I'd expect that about the highest.

If both teams touch the mid 30's I will be amazed.  I don't know the Ravens have the horses to play like that - I don't know enough about their depth. I know the Bills could score 40 if they fire off.

I agree with your main point.  I dont expect a shoot out either.  If we win, I expect it to be close.  Ravens have an extremely talented defense - and depends if we can stay semi balanced with a run game.

What I disagree with, is your comment on Ravens offense not being explosive as ours.  They are dangerous with lots of weapons-  but missing Likely is massive IMO.  They have a ton of mismatches with him and Andrews, then Ricard being out.

Im expecting another blitz heavy game from us on defense - which will give some chances for explosive plays.

Bills win the turnover battle, and get a big return from Codrington --- 27-20 Bills

Watching the playoff game against the Ravens right now. The narrative is that the Ravens are bigger and physically more physically imposing. The 1st qtr of that game is a completely different narrative Bills imposing their will with both DL and OL. Then Rapp goes down and immediately after there is a huge pass play.

Agreed.   Although I suspect some of that physicality from the Bills was them playing with a huge chip on their shoulder after hearing all week about how the Ravens were a huge physical team that would just steamroll them.

But, I do think losing Rapp and having Bishop in that game and the KC game were back breakers for the Defense… far more than people seem to talk about.

Hopefully… the boys don’t start off rusty and bring some juice early!  Getting an early lead is the best way to take them out of their comfort zone and force Lamar into errors, IMO.   The Ravens are not a team I want to be trailing by 10pts to.

I care about the disrespect of being a home underdog while having the League MVP on your team.......not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, just doesn't seem right.

Go Bills!!

The ravens have a competent defense.  The last anyone knew, the Bills did not.  That’s why they’re favored imo

Explosive, verb, the ability to spontaneously without prevocation or indication produce a dynamic result.

In football terms in my dictionary I say that is plays over 25 yards. I think the Ravens are capable of getting big chunks of the 12-20 yard type but don't see them frequently blasting away at the big runs deep or long ball passes.

Sure, Lamar (who's not the best player in the league) can busy a 25+ yard run. It's likely and probably going to happen this year. I don't see that against our defense which is not fast nor necessarily athletic. But our defense is a bend not break type.

I do worry that Hamlin/Bishop, rapp, and our CB's could be caught exposed. I also worry that they can be sucked in to rushing Jackson releasing from their man if we play too much zone cover 2.

K Matt Prater and OL Kendrick Green have been elevated from the PS for this game. Interesting they went green over a CB.

Surprised Phillips or Logue wasn’t promoted

Keon really does seem all business this year. The jokey rookie we saw last year has vanished

The two guys I'll watch most closely tomorrow will be Keon on offense and Cole on defense.  I was disappointed in both - especially Cole - last season but am hoping they take a big step forward this year.

If they do, my optimism for a Lombardi will likewise take a big step forward.

I'll be watching Keon and also interested to see how they use Hawes, also the big man Walker on D

I usually focus on the DL off the snap so I’ll primarily focus the interior DL.  I think our 3T’s will have an advantage vs the ravens pass blocking.  Faalele is a force vs the run but I think Ed, Sanders and Walker will have opportunities to run right by him.  Vorhees has talent but only has 200 snaps since his knee injury in college iirc.  He should also be taken advantage of.

also eager to see how we employ our man blitzes.  Expect to see them the entire night.  If we don’t, it’ll probably be ugly for us.  Lamar vs non blitz is as good as it gets.  Lamar vs blitz- it gets ugly!

Really interested to see how strong is at corner back. It's rare that coaches praise a particular player in a press conference, but babich really praised him this week and mentioned something about him having a huge improvement in the last few weeks

Drove by the stadium earlier.  Noticed a sign for parking behind the bar at Suthwestern & Abbott…$70 😱

It doesn’t seem that long ago that you could buy a game ticket for less than that.

Trolling ravens boards, they are not least bit worried got it in the bag, acting as if it's the SB

A fan base with a positive attitude during preseason?

Isn't that how it's supposed to be?
