What strength and conditioning could they have helped him with? Yep. That is a misunderstanding as to what a S&C staff does. Quote
Mat68 Posted August 20 Posted August 20 I would bet Alexander was in discussion when Strong was picked. I could see him as a season long practice squad stash. Quote
NewEra Posted August 20 Posted August 20 Possible Levi Wallace 2.0. The move makes sense. Stash him, coach him up and hope for the best Quote

Haven't heard of Alexander but seems like they are stacking bodies in case they need them later in the year due to injuries. In short, this is camp fodder, and nothing more. Howard was released with an injury designation, I believe. Apparently, the Bills brought him in and decided he wasn't fully healthy. He was more of a one cut power back. Young is a smaller, quicker back, more like James Cook. He was released by Kansas City, which had a very crowded backfield. Alexander was projected by some as a mid-round draft pick. He's no burner, but has nice length and he's faster than some CBs on Buffalo's roster. Quote

Trains running and these guys are in tough spots to run and catch it. Signed today playing late Saturday. Not much time to ease into it. Quote

NFL.com lists Tyson Campbell as his pro comparison. Has a chance to develop into a solid depth player and maybe even more. Likely looking at a practice squad stash and a chance to compete for a main roster spot in 2026. Any draftniks on here that can say a little more about him? So I have to assume Howard hurt himself signing his contract?? 2 hours ago, 17islongenough said: Very odd timing on releasing Davis. Anyone think it's odd they released him after it come out he beat Allen in a game? What's odd about it? All it says to me was Bass is healthy to kick now. And if they were going to cut Davis for beating Allen, they'd have cut him on Friday/Saturday when he actually beat Allen, not three days later when the tape of it comes out. Have to question, what chance does a guy have of making the 53 when he's only signed 56 days before final cutdown day? Edited August 20 by Ed_Formerly_of_Roch 1 Quote

I think he is a potential PS add if he can prove he is healthy. Now Couch has gone their depth beyond the guys likely to make the roster at corner is thin. Quote

He was projected to be drafted and some people had him as a late 2nd/3rd round guy but then he got to the combine and he put up dreadful athletic numbers which probably had to do with his steep drop to the undrafted . Throw in the fact he blew out his knee(could have gotten flagged) and the fact he’s really only a zone CB and that’s the reason he’s available. Honestly I think I’d try him at safety with his length and athletic profile but CB e could play CB in a pinch in a zone heavy scheme Was surprised he didn’t get picked up as a UDFA. There’s certainly talent there that was evident during his time at LSU. Quote

If that's their plan, may be best to not play him Saturday so nobody sees him Edited August 20 by Ed_Formerly_of_Roch Quote
Maine-iac Posted August 20 Posted August 20 Besides Amos I liked Nohl and Zy as later round picks. I hope he is able to come in and show something. 2 1 Quote

A&M then transfer portal to Ole Miss. Had a great opening kickoff. Only 1 FG opportunity from 56, has the distance and was wide right. Giants turned the ball over on down right before halftime so Davis wasn't doing any warm-up like normal ahead of the FG. I'd give him a huge pass. That was all! No other work. Quote

You are not winning super bowls with guys like Levi starting or even playing. 2 Quote

The strength coaches have to warm up every player? If these guys don't know how to pre-game themselves, we are all in trouble. Quote
