We are laughing at the Dolphins, I remember 0 for the 70s like it was 50 years ago. I was at the game when the Bills broke that streak. And by the way, secondary is the least of the Dolphins problems. At joint practice the Lions bullied Dolphins lines on both sides of the ball. I don’t recall Bills getting bullied by the Lions.

Well their D was decimated by the time we played I believe.   Thems the breaks.

The op is talking about Amon-ra and the secondary, I’m talking about Amon-ra and the secondary. Not the lines. You don’t recall Amon-ra getting 23 catches for 315 yards in the two games he’s played against the Bills.

I recall the Bills winning those games. I apologize, I thought when I read the title this was about taking pleasure in the misfortune of the Dolphins. Is that not the meaning of “Schadenfreude”? I mistakenly thought the op was using that video as an example, taking delight in how dreadful that Dolphin CB is. I did not realize this was about what a great Lions receiver Amon-ra is, which is undeniable. I believe the title is misleading.

Be my guest.  I think a lot of Bills fans are underestimating the Dolphins.   I hate everything about that team, but they are going to be better than people think.

I can see an argument for the Dolphins being effective on offense, but it's difficult to justify belief in the defense beyond them having some pass rush pedigree (with injury histories), some physicality otherwise in front-7, but not any notable playmakers outside of Fitzpatrick in back-7.

Their RB room is really talented and they've got some dynamic dudes at WR too. They're going to run the ball well. Achane is awesome, and the next two youngsters behind him have some traits. Always comes down to Tua and his WRs staying on time and doing their quick, decisive thing. So how's that o-line hold up just long enough to make it all work?

Defensively, they might cause some disruption from time to time, with talent and aggression, but they're gonna get GOT a lot at the second and third levels. They could have some REALLY bad defensive matchups this season. My guess against the Bills is they come out playing aggressive, tough guy ball and attack the LOS and backfield. Force the Bills to beat em down the field. Try to TOUCH Josh Allen above all else.

Last real game he played against the Bills he went 14 for 193 and a touchdown.   Not going to take a lot of joy in the Dolphins not being able to stop him in a practice.

And yet the Lions lost

Every time I see McDaniel talk I'm always like, "Cripes that guy looks frazzled." He bears the mark of a man who's consistently having his jimmies rustled.

They ain't beating those "soft" allegations, tho. McDaniel seems like a nice guy, I'm sure I'd be able to shoot the breeze with someone like that...but he's never struck me as a true leader. I just don't think a lot of players take him super seriously.

They are soft.  From the lines out.  To the coach.  Physical teams will give them problems.  Playing on the road will give them problems because of snap count issues and their motion heavy offense.  Playing in bad weather, problems.

They aren't this like 4-13 team that people think, i think there's still a very good chance they end up ahead of the jets and patriots in the division.  But they are not good, and they will continue to lose to playoff teams.

And it took everything the offense had because the defense couldnt cover, which was the point of the post.

And the Lions last year scored the 4th most points in NFL history - so a lot of teams struggled covering their offense and wasn’t just a Bills.  St Brown is an elite player too

The glass-half empty side to this is that literally all the pressure and expectations are on the Bills.

Well yeah, they have had all the pressure for 6 years now. Good teams have high and deserved expectations

Nope, they definitely have not had all the pressure for 6 years. My goodness, most expected them to take a step back last year!

If you go back to my original post, that was my exact point.  The Dolphins aren't alone in not being able to cover him.

If Nate Peterman gets another job, I will take it as proof he's got a copy of the Epstein files. It's the only explanation.
