  1. 1. Who ya got?

    • Dalton Kincaid. (skinny bastard)
    • James Cook (social media ho)
    • Landon Jackson (he'll never be good apparently)
    • Tre White (can't tackle)
    • Ed Oliver (low effort)
    • Max Hairston (injury prone)
    • Cole Bishop (also injury prone)
    • McDermott (no explanation required)
    • Keon Coleman (slow and can't catch)
    • Other (who did I miss?)

Yeah. Damar Hamlin.

I don't think anyone dislikes Damar, most just wish he was a backup rather than starter.  Here Cook is enemy no 1 for reasons that don't make any sense.

Ah ok, sorry. Wasn't sure if you were joking or not as I'm sure some people don't know who Ryan Nielsen is.

But ya that's fair, he hasn't had a great track record.

Need to try something different though if Bills defence continue to rank bottom 5 on 3rd downs IMO

This 3rd down ineptitude predates Babich.

It does. But he's nominally the coordinator and calls plays. If the defense is awful again on 3rd down, he's cooked.

I've been pretty down on Jackson since yesterday. Here's why.

After a very quiet camp we saw in real time why we didn't hear much about him. He played weak. Slow. Couldn't get off blocks, guy escorted upfield and past the QB on rushes easily. Was shoved to the ground a few times. He completely lost contain on Winston's long scramble. All I all a horrible performance on the heels of a disappointingly quiet camp. And even in all that it would be somewhat understandable against a starting level OT. He played against the Giants 2nd and 3rd string RT.

At this point he is far below AJE in my opinion. Most likely a game day inactive. He needs to get stronger and work on his technique. He's very raw.

Does this mean this is who he will always be? Of course not, no. But I think he has a long way to go to even be considered serviceable. I'm rooting for him.

This

i know it was preseason

and I know it was first game

but I was very disappointed with him

he was godawful

hope he figures it out soon

Respectfully, that's just not correct.

2021 and 2022 they were number 1 in the nfl on 3rd downs .

2023 they were 12th, and last year under Babich they were 30th.

Other:

Fans like me who really believe the team is top shelf, but our defensive scheme’s inability to make the correct adjustments is holding us back,

I am and have been a fan of Sean McDermott since year one, he and Beane dragged this team out of being completely irrelevant to a constant contender, many here don’t fully appreciate the effort and heart it took to do that.

GO BILLS!!!

8-8, 7-9, 9-7, 6-10

Ryan/Whaley last two years and McDermott/Beane first two

there's really just one person responsible for actually dragging the Bills out of obscurity and he's not in the front office

Damar is the quintessential late round McBeane pick: smart, fits the system, and completely unathletic (for a football player)

I'm fine with him on the team as a 3rd stringer/special teamer.

I honestly feel like a lot of Bills fans got sick and tired of the media attention he was given. While I understand why they do it...mainly to cover the story for people that don't watch Bills games week in and week out....it's been week after week that his story is touched on. It became much for a lot of people. Every time he does something on the field one of the announcers are almost required to mention it...even last year.

I don’t disagree.

Then my memory must be failing me, because the way I remember it under Frazier, when an opponent had 3rd and 15, they had us right where they wanted us.

No you're right about that in a way, as they went through a brutal stretch of giving up 3rd and longs in 2022.

But ya overall they were an elite defence on 3rd downs the last 3 years before 2024

With our fragile safeties we'll see a lot of Hamlin and he will continue to be a whipping boy.  He'll probably be a solid but not stellar player but much like Rapp (and no one acknowledges it) he's too slow to be a truly dynamic safety.  In my head someday Hancock and Bishop will both be starting safeties and Bishop will not make a couple of coverage mistakes every game he starts.

I think it’s Tre White hands down.. he’ll definitely get a lot of balls thrown his way and if he doesn’t break up every single one of them he’ll get roasted on here

True so hate the media.  That's not Damar's fault and it really doesn't make Damar a whipping boy, just a victim of terrible media.

Babich is going to get a lot of heat online, especially with Nielsen behind him.

Never liked the hire. I would send him packing and have McD take over again or at least have Mcd call third downs.

What, no Brandon Cody Ford Beane?

If Kincaid, Bishop and Coleman flame out, the baller Beane luv will vanish real fast.

I too am surprised Babich wasn't a choice and also Ralph should be somewhere in there (he's cheap).

My favorite Nordberg scene.

One quick fix for him would be to peek down the LOS and confirm he’s on side 🤦‍♂️
