Yes. It's impossible to have a daily training camp report that doesn't heavily address injuries. Unrealistic at best. Two things this brought to mind... 1) wives of pro athletes should NEVER post stuff on social media. 99% of the time it has a negative impact... specifically with the employer. 2) I realize he's an O-lineman but that is not a hard body. Yes, the edge rushers who've been getting the most buzz are Javon Solomon and undrafted free agent Paris Shand. You dont trade up for him in rd 2 if the plan is not for him to play alot and hopefully replace Jones in the starting lineup. Babich is pushing Sanders to the moon. Right now he is easily the best option for the spot behind Oliver. If he can play 1T. A tougher position schematically, its a home-run. Sanders watching Jones tape, Babich acknowledging his talent but also dismissing it are signs of a guy being coached hard. Sanders has spoke with confidence about playing and having a role right away. I would not be shocked if Sanders starts next to Oliver sooner than later. With Walker as the back up 3 tech. Quote

Hope he gets better! Was the doctor hot? Pics?? 1 1 1 Quote

Of course Sanders' draft position and credentials make it clear that the expectation is that someday he's going to be a starter. When I say it's premature to say "Sanders is fighting to be the starter," I'm obviously referring to the timeline. The question then becomes, when do you envision him being a starter? 2 Quote

I cannot fathom how painful a more severe tear is. And a bilateral hamstring tear is cruel and what a 10 out of 10 on a pain scale is Cowgirl with Queen Latifah kind of pain? Quote

I think before Halloween he is beside Oliver out the tunnel. Walker seems like a guy being built up. Sanders is a guy they are trying to challenge. Mcdermott wants the guy to be the complete package before given a big role as a rookie. 1 1 Quote

He'll heal up and have a chance to hook up with some team's practice squad later, maybe even Buffalo's. 1 Quote

You kind of said it yourself, "if he can play 1T". With how much we rotate, I don't think trading up in Round 2 means he has to start in Year 1 or Year 2. Especially given the plan being to move him around the interior line. Beane called him a 3T that can be slid over in certain situations (most likely obvious passing downs). That doesn't exactly scream to me the eventual full time replacement for Jones at 1T. And again, he doesn't have to be that to make an impact. If he's the first guy up shifting in for Oliver at 3T and he's occasionally coming in to blitz from the 1T on passing downs, replacing Jones or eventually Walker (who I see as the true heir apparent to Jones for 1st and 2nd downs) - he's going to potentially get as many snaps as one of the starters. And if he's as good as advertised, that's well worth the 41st pick in the Draft, even if he isn't technically a Starter. If he is to be a Starter one day, I think it's more likely he makes Oliver expendable in a couple years at 3T than it is he becomes the 1T Starter. Jones imo is the perfect player for Sanders to study behind. Jones is still a m’fer inside but come January his legs are shot imo. Perhaps if the Bills can find a solid reliever so they can reduce the number of reps Jones has to take through the season, he'll have more left in the tank come January. 3 Quote

I feel like with his physicality, if he can build in confidence he'll get more and more bullish in these battles with the DBs and really start to dominate them in these situations. Kind of how the kid at school realizes how strong he is compared to other kids and starts throwing his weight around. 1 Quote

Seems like he's been pretty clearly the best and most consistent pass catcher in camp. That rep is exactly what you want to see from his skillset. No he doesn't get yards of separation but he's still able to use his strength to create leverage and then makes a strong catch for the TD. It appears the work he put in this offseason is paying off. 4 1 1 Quote

chris heff Posted Thursday at 07:33 PM Posted Thursday at 07:33 PM I have Inside Training Camp on, half paying attention. Is it just me or do they spend an inordinate amount of of time with the Patriots? They won four games last year. If the Bills had only won four games, they would send some guy nobody ever heard of and he’d be interviewing the assistant equipment manager. 1 Quote
